You could be right Mark, it could be just more of  Obama doing what he does best, reading the typical hollow promises that scroll across his teleprompter.

Shooting rainbows out of his ass, so to speak.

But he also made mention of aiding Greece through the IMF in the article, perhaps you missed that part?

The part where he is quoted as saying, "...it's going to require some patience and some time. And we have pledged to cooperate fully in working through these issues, both on a bilateral basis but also through international and financial institutions like the IMF."

The IMF isn't the U.S. Treasury...Although it might be a good place for us pervs to ahng out, seems like it is full of them!

The IMF is financed around 17% with American Money.

So, essentially we will bail out alotta motherfuckers all over the globe.

It ain't an Obama decision.

Yup, just like every other political speech, like:  There are WMD in Iraq, mission accomplished, bring it on, death to infidels, I am going to shoot off many nuclear missles from the strong and advanced North Korea, and so on.

We're in for a penny and in for a pound, same as always, even under the inept house of today.  He really don't have a great deal of say about it, other than he would like to see IMF money go there rather than 100% out of our pocket.

A better explanation than the one in the original post. Although we do contribute to the IMF it appears very little of our money would be used for Greece. I have a much better understanding from reading this. Thanks for making me do my homework.

So... if the Dems are the party of Goldman Sachs as you claim... does this mean that the left should should stay at home during the next election?

Or what exactly is your point.

Just wanted to reprint the whole thing, so as to ask: did anyone else here read her 'claim' that "the Dems are the party of Goldman Sachs"?

No?

What are we missing here, sanitous?

Was the ex-Goldman CEO bailoutmeister Hank Paulson a Democrat? Did a Democrat appoint him? Do we hear in various Dem publications about how great Goldman Sachs is?

Fill us out here.

They feel they have to resort to personal attacks, as they have no real arguments, Luce.

In an ideal world they would simply admit that they are wrong...

OK, thanks for that information.

We are supposed to read somebody who is not Lucy, in some post about 15 or so before Lucy's post, to understand that she was claiming that the Dems are the party of Goldman Sachs.

Got it.

And of course Fellow is absolutely wrong:

quote:

There is a strong movement in Greece in opposition to the bailout and follow the Iceland model "Let the bankers eat their own bad debts".

They tried to hoist the bad debt onto england among others, the government took over the banks and guarenteed depositors (bankers walked and government stuck with the bill) and 20 november received IMF funds around 1-2Billion.

The prime minister has been criminally charged in the matter, and (this may be the only correct thing in the post) GS has not.

OK, I get the loose connection there, but it's still quite a stretch to see it as her saying that particular thing.

Obamas proposed Greece bailout either is or isnt intended to serve GS.

Seems some here want that both ways as well...

If you are not assassinating the president of the united states and on the national news by 5pm today, I know that you are serving Goldman Sachs, and bowing to the communists.

You can't have it both ways, Tom.
