I recently stumbled across a recipe for breast milk ice cream. A store in Covent Garden London has also begun to sell said ice cream to raise awareness for pregnant mothers. Does anyone else find this at least MILDLY disturbing?

sounds gross Count me out on ever having any desire whatsoever trying it. There's a lot of breast milk fetishists out there and on here though who would probably buy the stuff by the gallons I bet.

I agree, less disturbing. I'm not going to hurt my brain at this point figuring out where that much breast milk is being farmed out from, but gross? No, not at all. We are human beings, after all, and this stuff was for many of us the very first thing we ingested and kept ingesting for the first year or two of our lives, and is in it's own unique way a biologically perfect food for us. As Fox duly points out, we go buy the stuff that comes out of some manky old cow udders every day, and eat products like ice creams and cheeses and such which are made from same.. Well, I recently made ice cream and my only thought is that I am not so sure that human breast milk has enough fat for ice cream. Although I suppose you could separate it and such like they do for cows' milk. I think that it would be rather expensive though.
