in a different thread Puella has touched on a very important topic..the ads that we see now when we log on to our favorite site in the whole wide world..and i am willing to see them ..but i dont have wee ones around my pc..does anyone here know if the ads will be enough to keep collarme a free service?

It is a great site and I have met many great people. If it went pay, then it would be like alt or bondage. Both worthless as far as I am concerned. Perhaps they best choice to keep it free is charge all the pro's, who make money in their trade. I feel if they charge, then they should pay.

I get the sense that most people agree a $5 fee wouldn't be excessive.  I feel that way too.  But aren't we jumping the gun here?  There hasn't been any indication that the site is about to go pay-only.  Why don't we see what actually happens before we decide whether we're going to jump ship?

I'd gladly pay. A few bucks isn't going to ruin anyone. Hell... I've even tried donating money and they wouldn't take it.
