Give me some examples of distraction.   Ponder when distraction is a good thing- and when it is a bad thing.

I will start,  news "debates"  will often try to kill time with chatter that does not solve the countries issues.

On the other hand... if I am nervous about an appointment-  a mindless tv show can get my mind off of it.

Some circles-  distraction should never happen, others it is SOP.  For instance, on facebook, I do not talk about politics.  I will not debate like I do here. So distraction works for that venue.

When I call a business I do not want to hear how my call is important- or be asked if I am satisfied with the call, or hear how wonderful they are.

When I watch TV, I do not want to hear teasers-- I do not want to be distracted from my distraction, STOMP.

The larger question,  (please address)  How do you personally manage your distractions?
