I would turn tail and run if I were you, too.

Right,only you see reality....how fuck`n weak/trollie/lame is that?

This is what the weak do when they fall down flat faced.

After arguing and debating post after post, they claim they don`t really care anyway, lol, and then insult.Weak.

If they didn`t care they wouldn`t post and if they had an argument they would make it.

Weak.

Owner, what do you think will happen to those that need medicaid, medicare, and other forms of government assistance, if/when they begin to be cut?

What about those that fall between the cracks now, and the hundreds that are falling as each day passes?

Should we open up some campgrounds?

Owner59 -> RE: The Coming DEPRESSION in America / Evidently MANY others feel as I do! (6/12/2011 9:08:15 PM)

I don`t know.

If there is another depression like in the early 30s,with a 45-50 % unimployment and major homelessness,it might tear the country apart.

What we should do is as much we can muster. No less.

Someday,we`re going to have to decide whether spending more that half of the federal budget on the military while borrowing a half trillion from the Chinese communists every year is sustainable or a good idea.

Humm, thanks for responding.
Do you think it needs to get to 40-50% nationally to be that bad?
Unemployment is about 40-50% among young Black people already in some area's.

I am sure the Black community will hit the wall and experience the Depression a bit sooner, than the rest of the general population.

We all know the real numbers are much higher than what we are told.

I am thinking, if/when unemployment gets to be about 25%-30% shit will begin hitting the proverbial fan.

Yeah,that bad for middle-class whites and/or republicans.

Till the flood reaches their doorstep, they are pretty ignorant to the damage and are ok with other Americans suffering.

As long as it`s not them, fuck everyone else.

We`ve seen that here recently.

The way things are going, the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer is shrinking the middle-class.

If they keep going this way,we`ll have pre-depression era economic disparity. All the terrific gains of the middle-class over the last 60 years will have gone.

I know you're not very bright, so you simply can't comprehend there's no point in an exchange with the woefully ignorant -- for the same reason most ignore you. [8|]

That sounds like many around here!
Also, why should we want to "talk" about it?

We don't want to consider what is going to happen to the downtrodden now, do we?

It's soooooooooo depressing, let's talk about something more fun!

Hard, un-comfortable,charged subjects need adult, sophisticated calm argument.

Some subjects like war and how we treat other nations, abortion and homelessness, healthcare and energy deserve better than they`ve been getting.

Humm, almost 50% of the people polled by CNN, feel we are headed towards a DEPRESSION.
I don't recall anyone but me starting DEPRESSION threads on here, I could be wrong.

Next time there is a thread about THE possible coming depression {that almost 50% of Americans believe will happen}, make sure I don't miss it.

Owner59 -> RE: The Coming DEPRESSION in America / Evidently MANY others feel as I do! (6/12/2011 9:57:27 PM)

Consumer confidence will turn upward and people will feel less vulnerable.

With history as a witness, this will be forgotten and we`ll be making the same mistakes a decade or two from now.

LOL, I guess you are not included in the group{including me} that feels America is headed towards another DEPRESSION.

I won't look for you to start any Depression threads, I will carry on.

Alrighty now!

Owner59 -> RE: The Coming DEPRESSION in America / Evidently MANY others feel as I do! (6/12/2011 10:10:18 PM)

No.But what we`ve been doing to not sustainable or humane.

I plan on paying my house off and chilling. There will always be work for carpenters in the NYC metro area.

When my mom no longer needs me(or my brothers), I`m going to help with Habitat For Humanity .

Throwing a trillion bucks down a black hole in Iraq vacuumed a few dollars out...Woulda been better spent here in the US.

And the '08' meltdown sucked about 17 trillion out of our economy.

Gone,vanished,lost.401Ks,retirements,pensions,savings,investments and options,poof......gone.

And billions in bed debt left for us to deal with. That we`re still fucking dealing with.

Clueless as always. There is a difference between money and wealth.

DEPRESSION

It's probably even worse than you made it out to be in your OP. I believe we're already in the early stages, and that it will worsen for several years yet before it starts to get better. And that things will never be the same for the West.
