ORIGINAL: slvemike4u Perspective truly is everything.....I thought it was the best unscripted comedy show of the year.....Bachmann can not get a sentence out of her mouth without making President "Bisch" sound like fucking Churchill.Pawletney has no balls at all,Cain is clueless as to details....Gingrich...is,well Gingrich.Paul is just plain loopy...and unelectable.Santorum....please another man without a chance to be elected....he has no gravitas....he is a flat line. Which leaves us and the Republicans with Romney...a man who will have to flip on so many previously held positions to win the nomination that he will have nothing of himself left for the general. Must the Republicans(and comedy writers everywhere) pray and hope for Palin.Where is Huntsman...and Christy...the team needs someone to step up.....the Imeup last night resembled a major league team during WW II when all the real ball players were in the service...and one armed guys got a shot to play. It doesn't matter anyway. It's impossible for Obama to lose. Dr. Walter Williams, Econ Professor at George Mason U, considered to be a conservative and an expert on the socioeconomic conditions in America (note: remarks in red from a poster on another forum) Here's an excerpt: Obama's reelection is really a very, very simple math problem. Consider the following: 1. Blacks will vote for Obama blindly. Period. Doesn't matter what he does. It's a race thing. He's one of us, Probably true, but so what? You think WASPs don't tend to vote for WASPs because they're WASPs orthat Evangelicals won't vote for Romney because Romney belongs to a heretical cult? But for some reason Righties only find voting on group identty to be evil when Black people do it. 2. College educated women will vote for Obama. Though they will be offended by this, they swoon at his oratory. It's really not more complex than that, Probably more college educated women will go for Obama, but not all of them. Face it, they're voting self-interest. The typical Republican candidate this time around favors the bibilical view of women as property of their husbands. 3. Liberals will vote for Obama. He is their great hope, Duh! We're Liberals. The Republicans mostly have gone beyond conservative to reactionary. We might have to hold our noses over some things Obama's done, but for a Liberal to vote for any of the Republican nominees would be like a Jew voting for Hitler. 4. Democrats will vote for Obama. He is the leader of their party and his coattails will carry them to victory nationwide, See above. Why would a Dem vote for any of the Republican nominess when they've all espoused policies totally opposite to ours? 5.Hispanics will vote for Obama. He is the path to citizenship for those who are illegal and Hispanic leaders recognize the political clout they carry in the Democratic Party, Why should Hispanics vote Republican when Republicans have made "Hispanic" a synonym for "illegal" and turned Hispanics into whipping boys for the paranoid uber Righties? 6.Union members will vote overwhelmingly for Obama. He is their key to money and power in business, state and local politics, Another Duh! moment. After everything the incoming Republicans of 2010 have done to destroy unions, it's a no brainer. It's survival. A Republican White House and a Republican Congress and American unions would be reduced to the level of Chinese "unions". 7.Big Business will support Obama. They already have. He has almost $1 Billion dollars in his reelection purse gained largely from his connections with Big Business and is gaining more every day. Big Business loves Obama because he gives them access to taxpayer money so long as they support his social and political agenda, Big Business will swing to whatever side they think will win. If it looks like Obama's vulnerable, they'll dump money on the Republican. But Big Business also has good analysts. The odds are the incumbent will win, especially given the challengers. 8. The media love him. They may attack the people who work for him, but they love him. After all, to not love him would be racist, This is a questionable assumption. The media doesn't love Obama. They love any figure who generates news. They love Sarah Palin because she regularly gives them massive amopunts of controversy. Racism has nothing to do with it. It's what will but their sales that matters. If a scandal crops up concerning Obama, they'll splash it all over the front page, even if it's patently bullshit and it's the day before the election. 9.Most other minorities and special interest groups will vote for him. Oddly, the overwhelming majority of Jews and Muslims will support him because they won't vote Republican. American Indians will support him. Obviously homosexuals tend to vote Democratic. And lastly, Yeah, well, when you kick "special interest" groups in the nuts every time they turn around, what do you expect? And why is it that all those other people with specific needs and desires are "special interest groups" but the religious Right and the other factions forming the Tea Party and the core of the Republican party are neve decribed as "special interests"? 10. Approximately half of independents will vote for Obama. And he doesn't need anywhere near that number because he has all of the groups previously mentioned. Hard to say how independents will swing. A lot depends on the economy, as well as fearmongering. Another terrorist attack could sway them towards the Repubs. I think he's underestimating how much Obama needs independents.
