So, when you remove those subsidies for Big Oil, you know the ones you been ass licking them with for over 150 years,  then your asswipe about conservative principles wont make you seem like such a two bit whore or an itenerant insurance peddler, surprise.

itinerant
And Insurance Peddlers aren't itinerant. They generally travel within a confined geographic area within driving distance of their home, most of the time around 30 miles max, and return home nightly. At least that's what everyone did, when I was an insurance peddler years ago.

But at least you didn't use the example of a pawn broker, leeching off the misfortune of the poor forced to sell a 300 dollar tv for 50 bucks to buy grandmas medicine. Now, that would have been an insult.[:D]

No, the price points are at $20 or $50 so they can buy dope, and its stolen from grandma.

Another moronic title to an O59 post. What part of "get the government the fuck out of the economy" dont you understand?

The very existence of taxes indicates that the government is involved with the economy.  Republicans are very much against tax hikes on the basis of income, etc.  But it's uncomfortable when the tax hike is the result of eliminating an unjustifiable tax break.  The specific nature of the tax break itself is the government meddling in the economy.

Can somebody please tell me of any country where government is not "in" the economy"?
Is there a working model of ANY govmnt OUT of the countries economy?
What on earth makes anyone think that the economy would be better served by private sector companies? what a cluster fuck that would be
I mean its bad enough they have their fingers up the arses of most politicians.
Im seriously not having a dig, (well ok but not much of one) more out of interest in the reality
Ive never claimed to be an economics guru, Id rather braid snot...but is that willbur takin the piss? or what
cos that has to be the saddest comment Ive seen since...the weekend

It`s a Reaganomics theory/myth/lie, that government is always the problem. It`s a religion for neo-cons.All other thoughts, things, actions are slaved to that dogma.

Those "capitalists" who ruined our economy, sure were happy to have government bail them out, though.

Weren`t they?

I think youve got it backwards here. Conservagtive WANT those tax breaks elminated. And obviously any taxation at all is "involvement". Its the extent and purpose of the involvement thats the issue.

Along with all the politcians that were in their pockets. If you follow the money, there does not seem to be any party discrimination when getting in bed with capitalists.

Getting donations is one thing.

How one votes and who gets their money`s worth, is another.

Added: And I`m just explaining the motivations of those dopes who still, even after the '08'disaster,tow the party line.

All depends how you spin it. We may say ethanol production subsidies instead of "tax credits". The conservatives and the libertarians are commonly against subsidies. Corn ethanol, we are mostly dealing with, is a scam anyway. So, we can not ignore the substance of the issue.

Owner59 -> RE: A majority of Senate Republicans Vote to Raise Taxes?! (6/15/2011 11:26:01 AM)

Cons against subsidies? ROTFLMAO

Yeah, in word.

But in action(reality),it`s one of their biggest vote buying slush funds.

Along with defense dollars.
