Holy rimjob, Batman! There telling us we can't swim in the pool!
Actually, I'm finding it hard to find the right words that will express the level of outrage I feel toward such closed-minded, vicious bigotry. This is a public pool so it should be an open and shut case. But I am also merciful so I think that the two asses should be given a choice:
1) While standing next to the two guy men, in front of the press, they should acknowledge that their religious beliefs (which they are perfectly entitled to) have no bearing on who can and cannot swim in the pool. That they were wrong to discriminate against their fellow human beigns and that their invisible sky-daddy has no say on the matter... followed by an apology (it better sound sincere) and a promise that they won't do it again.
Or
2) Hit the fucking road and find employment elsewhere!
ETA: The fact that they are delvelopmentally disabled probably did play a role. I have worked with the developmentally disabled in the past, one of my nieces does currently, and I have a distaff cousin who has Down's Syndrome. I have seen that disgusting attitued first hand... people in a restaurant or park who "tsk" and/or roll their eyes when the developmentally disabled arrive. Or worse... in one case... actually say: "oh shit... those retard freaks are here." I am actually rather proud of the fact that I successfully restrained myself from grabbing their hair and repeatedly bashing their face into the pavement.
