This is just made funnier by the fact we had certain Republican Presidential Candidates screaming that we had to jump in and why has Obama not already.

That was a familiar strain from you after all.  "If he waits to help all the rebels will be dead, etc.".  Then as soon as he did it was "what is he doing, he has no right"

If memory serves we had signed a treaty with them and had been paying our "fees" to conduct business in their waters (just like great britian,france,spain and most everyone else) when t.j asked o'bannon if he could get him off the hook for the "squeeze". The lt's first response was "are you shittin' me???with six men? In response t.j mentioned the size of the payday and got an immediate "aye aye sir". Now this was back in the day when the men got shares of the "payday". Anyway it was a long time ago but that is how I remember it. I also remember that we stiffed the greeks and the berbers for their share of the "payday". Of course the lt got the sword but the men went home with full packs
