Im so happy to hear this it of news
THE CANADIAN PRESS -- KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - Canadian tanks have begun withdrawing from the fields of Kandahar.

The first echelon of Leopard 2A6M battle tanks rolled through the gates of Kandahar Airfield today and more will follow over the next few days before the July end of combat deadline.

The armoured vehicles were first rushed to battlefield in late 2006 after troops found other weapons and had a tough time punching through thick mud wall compounds that the Taliban had turned into fortified positions.

As direct combat eased off, the 64 tonne armoured monsters were used to support infantry as they cleared villages of insurgents.
The Taliban would rarely fight when the tanks were around.

Maj. Eric Landry, the commander of C Squadron 12e Régiment blindé du Canada (12th Armoured Regiment), says bringing the Leopards back through the gates was a little bit of history of which he and his men are proud.
Come home boys n girls we loves you all

God bless them all,I can relate to your happiness and your pride....those that wear the uniform of their country and go in harms way deserve all of our respect, appreciation and a smooth transition to civilian life once they have concluded their service.A country can never do it enough for those they ask to risk the ultimate sacrifice....sadly we all too often fail these brave men and woman.

Thanks Canucks! You`re like our BFFs.We can count on you.

Thanks also, for not getting duped into the Iraq mess and for staying true to your reputation as a good, moral nation.

That took some balls, you risked being "freedom fried", but ya`ll still did the right thing.

We regret the loss of your precious sons and daughters and thank you for their sacrifices and your`s too.

Mission accomplished.
