I believe it was mark twain who said that golf was a good walk spoiled.
I don't mind being a caddy because I can enjoy the walk and the beautiful park like setting and do not have to deal with the ball and the clubs and keeping score and oh yes trying to find the fucking ball after I hit it into the trees.

There is a golf course in Yosemite National Park, it screwed up a perfectly good meadow.

THe most fun I ever had on a golf course was dec 34th about 28 yrs ago with three inches of snow on the ground, in a sand trap with a bottle of southern comfort and a chap named dave.
The only kind of golf I enjoy is the "whack...fuck" comments in crazy golf

The article said that Pres. Obama was a recent convert to the game. So I read it as Boenher had been playing golf for much longer.

Didn't the PGA recently (last 6 years or so) have some sort of ruling about walking being a requirement and the guy that claimed a disability and wanted to use a cart and they said, 'no.'? This makes me think that golf DOES require some athleticism.

Correct Ayleee on both counts.

Boehner has been playing golf on weekends and other days instead of working for YEARS while Obama hasn't. (been playing golf)

As for your statement about carts and the PGA. Seriously. when is the last time you ever saw weekend businessmen NOT using a cart?

PGA golf has as much in common with recreational golf as the weekend worm dunker on the edge of the lake with someone in the BASS tour trying to win a tournament.

I used to play golf with a friend for fun at the Key Biscayne course in miami (we walked). Once I saw another group walking and not taking a cart.

Wanna bet how many times the Bohner/Obama group walks? Or wanna bet how many times Boehner has walked a course in the last 2 years?

This isn't a dig at Boehner. This is just saying that recreational golf isn't a hard core sport at all.

I'm getting just a little pissed here.....next to sport fucking golf is the single best way to spend an afternoon...and my personal passion.I want to advise anyone thinking of adding to the bullshit of this thread that I am keeping a list.....and I will get even with all of you !
