Hopefully the government will meet the workee‘s reasonable demands and the people in that country will begin to live a better life.

China's riot town: 'No one else is listening'

We knew the unrest was triggered by what appeared to be a minor event -- a pregnant migrant worker and her husband got in a scuffle with city officials and she ended up falling on the ground.

We visited a job center and, for the first time since I started reporting in China years ago, workers approached us unfazed by our cameras. They were unafraid to vent their grievances to foreign TV journalists even as the police looked on.

The workers complained of the lack of jobs, unscrupulous bosses hoarding back pay, and corrupt local officials.

A photo dated June 12 shows damaged police cars overturned by protesters in Xintang, China.

The root cause of the problem should be recognized. What is, of course, corporate-globalist non-sustainable economic policies. China could solve the problem easily. It is called economic stimulus. Sell one trillion US treasuries and use it for public infrastructure programs (better than food stamps). The measure would export the riots where they belong (USA).

I'm gonna be sorry I asked.

But how do you figure a transfer of investment (presumably at a loss, given that amount dumped at once) to new owners would cause riots in the U.S., which would be affected only by having to temporarily offer higher returns on treasuries?

I think he anticipates much higher interest rates which people couldn't afford like when the debt ceiling is not raised. Of course, not raising the debt ceiling would be an economic disaster and probably worse than the depression in 1930.

If the bald guy in the strange clothes were half as bright as he thinks he is, he'd figure out that what he proposes would pretty well cause the inverse. ZERO return on investment fot the Chinese government and although it would devalue to some degree the treasuries, little effect on us. I wouldn't want to correct all knowing , all seeing, alien boy of Canada...but, he isn't that f-ing bright.
