the nuclear plant is supposed to be offline until the fall, as far as i know. about the rest of it, i dunno -- i suppose i could drive over there since it's only in Blair, and try to get in someone's face and get some information, but they don't have to tell me the truth about anything. and the alarmists on the other side who are bound and determined to make a conspiracy about it are going to do what they do back where i'm from, we had a really bad flood that obliterated half the town. oil from a refinery got out everywhere and added insult to injury. it only came out later that the pumps moving oil from one tank to another were never actually turned off, which was contrary to what the company had told people. so frankly, whatever happens, nobody's going to know the truth until it happens. for me, i think about any possibility, no matter how remote, and try to determine how i can possibly help or be prepared. a friend in the "if shit gets REALLY bad" zone knows he, his wife, and his dog have a place to stay if they need it. the rest, i guess we'll just see what happens.
