Well historically, the most common form of political economy is feudalism - all political systems are constantly trying to devolve into it, and staving that off is the responsibility of maintaining even a potentially democratic political economy.

I don't think that's hysteria at all, I think it's a fact of human nature.

its easily provable that america is a feudal colony.

problem is that people are clueless as to what that comprises in practice.

oh and julia I asked for a time hack, and a time hack means the time something occurred.

It get's very complicated - for instance, your thread on Sharia: generating hysteria about Sharia could be construed as drawing a line in the sand in order to drive people back into the arms of the Christian churches, a good old feudal institution, Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Feudalism itself is anything but a monolithic institution, tends to foster endless and eternal internecine conflict in fact, it's just a pattern of political economic behavior, you have to distinguish the game from the players, otherwise, it's just about who, not what - what team you favor in the playoffs.

I don't think we have much to worry about from the radical Salafists, they're not exactly established here - I'm a little more inclined to keep my eye on the Christian reconstructionists, who are currently generating most of the anti-Muslim hysteria.

You can't get away from tribal conflict, a secular, democratic political economy, by keeping it on the rhetorical level, simply allows it to take place without getting too bloody - which it otherwise inevitably does.

I posted what he said on the previous page verbatim.

you posted the title of the video as something aj said which it turns out is not what aj said but the conclusion of who ever put up that video.  It was not what aj said and you will not hear it in the clip.

from what I have seen its anti tread on me ism.

many people realize they are being pushed far beyond where they should be by guv interference and many of them happen to be Christians.

You can thank it will come to you in the form of a mushroom cloud for the rise in anti muslimism the same way you can thank his great grandaddy for th erise in antisemitism.

I encourage everyone to watch the clip, it is only a minute long, and he says gay people were created by the government to control population...

Now realone may not want to deal with the FACT that the video clip has what it has on it, but it is not justa title, there are words coming from Alex Jones' mouth which form sentences, and those sentences claim that the government made gay people to control population

Everyone is free to watch and see for themselves..

I see Alex Jones isn't the only prevaricator...[8|]

You are prejudiced.

Actually, I went into Alex Jones site with an open mind. You see I think there is a certain type of conspiracy to keep the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. I also think that the WTO and the IMF were devised to subjugate people. My problem with Alex and friends is that you all lie which negates the real abuses of power taking place.

Then start threads on these types of topics from gurus that you like.   Because it is the idea that counts-  not the guru.

mnottertail -> RE: Alex Jones Creates Hysteria Amongst His Readers/Listeners (6/24/2011 9:58:36 AM)

The idea that gays are gays because of chemicals in the water is ludicrous.

John Milton, Gertrude Stein and a host of others want whatever the fuck you are drinking.

I can post whatever I'd like as long as it is within the TOS, don't like my threads, don't post to them

It is hard for me to even comprehend that one shouldn't trust liars and post their garbage as truth without even researching the claims for themselves

What I am saying- is that you can advance the cause.    This would be constructive.     Maybe you should update your posting style.    AJ is not going to change.   Nor is MSM.   You can not control them-  or really much of the other posters here.

Anyone can bitch and moan-  the question is - how do I translate that into a better life?

mnottertail -> RE: Alex Jones Creates Hysteria Amongst His Readers/Listeners (6/24/2011 10:09:33 AM)

I have been through this man's videos, his site, and listened to clips from his show, so I am not going just on what people say about him, but I have researched it myself... the man is kinda dangerous. He talks about mainstream news stories, spins them to show evil intent on the part of people in the government, he then mixes this weird editorializing of the news with outright lies. He releases faux pictures to his audience to show FEMA concentration camps, etc. He advocates sedition as political action, and basically he is brainwashing people into nutbaggery.

Far as I'm concerned, he's a political counterweight to Rush Limbaugh... Sure his topical crap is out there, but no one is further out in space with their doctrine than Limbaugh. Last election cycle he was openly promoting rioting at the democratic convention... People ACTUALLY showed up but in small enough numbers they were seen standing around looking mostly confused, and later breaking up into small protest groups. And yeah, the were some of the more extreme kooks Limbaugh reaches, but the showed nonetheless.

So I should update my posting style because someone I have never exchanged one word with is a lying, fear mongering, spinning piece of shit?

I think you would love it if I had not of posted this thread challenging your sacred cows, what I would recommend you do about that, kill the sacred cow yourself. No one is above questioning, especially a known liar. I do not expect him to change, and if you think you can convince me to change , you are sorrily mistaken.

Nor do I want to control what you post, but I sure as hell can comment on the lack of logic and reasoning you exhibit when you post lies CONSTANTLY. You maybe a useful idiot, but that doesn't mean I can't respond to the lies.

I think that you should really answer your own question. I do not see how anything you contribute from Alex Jones accomplishes anything but scaring people with bullshit that is consistently wrong. If you call that bettering mankind on some level, again, your logic is very fuzzy.

I would, but my sound is out at the moment. But that's ok, I will just go ahead and trust your judgment on this one.[:)]

No Julia.  You are reinforcing the status quo- business as usual.  YOU ARE.

Get over it.
