We have no say so in governance.  NONE!

I am THE comment on the Riverfront project in my town. I went to the meetings, I made written, phone and email comments.  NONE of my points was addressed!    None of them.  I am a home owner here. I do not rent.

The trees block my view of the river now- the lights are too bright, and there is a bench for bums to sleep on right outside my fucken door now.

The fact is-- that we are guests here on the land.  We truly own NOTHING.

At one time I believed in participation... but it is ALL RIGGED.   Now despite my best efforts-  I mean I talked to the director of the project for 40 minutes and my concerns were disregarded.

The lights stay on all night- they are not olden day in brightness- it is bold like a care dealership, and they stay on ALL NIGHT.  Which is light pollution that comes inside my bedroom window.     The trees they put in are big ones-  they have leaves and block one of the nicest features of the house....  the river. What point is fixing up the river if I cant look at it?  There are 10 paark benches the kind that can be slept on- so now someone can camp up and look in my living room window 24-7. ..and throw our tires and mattresses at the garbage can.

This is local...   if I have no say so here- and being a home owner- how do you figure you have say so where you live?

I wouldn't give Alex Jones the benefit of being anymore than a 3rd rate National Inquirer with a big mouth and nutbags that follow him, who wish to believe the Government is ran by Satan. I went to a city planning meeting, and I was there with a group of people who were seeking signage, and they were being listened to by their elected representative - city councilperson, who in fact "listened" to them and was helping them with their concerns.

I have also went to city hall meetings where I saw people advocate for where bus routes should go, they didn't listen to me, but they did listen to the other side.

I have done interviews about air quality where I was recently living, and I determined that the EPA was indeed listening to residents and pressuring the shipping companies to watch air pollution

The California Coastal Commission listens to people with concerns about pollution on the Golden Coast... I have witnessed this

Now you moved the bar, which is really unfortunate, because it shows you will say anything to defend the indefensible.

I am careful about the sources of information that I trust. I do not mind spinning information to develop ideas, but outright fabrications are another matter. In my eyes people who outright lie are not to be trusted and discounted as a source of information.

You should read Greg Palast instead of that fucking liar. He says some interesting things without the tinfoil hat, and he doesn't lie.
