Has O.J. Simpson confessed murder to Oprah? Huge TV interview planned in which convict 'will admit he killed Nicole in self-defense as she pulled a knife on him'
"O.J Simpson has confessed to Oprah Winfrey that he murdered his former wife, it has been reported. The talk show host made headlines recently saying that one of her regrets was never having got the shamed former sportsman to confess to the killing.

And it appears her wish may well have come true with reports Simpson has already told one of her producers in an interview from jail that he knifed ex-wife Nicole in self-defense - a confession he will now repeat to the talk show queen during a spectacular televised sit down interview."

She must have been one tough cookie if self-defense meant beheading her.

there is no statute of limitations on murder.

Double jeopardy. He can't be tried for the same crime twice, even if he writes a book describing exhaustively how he carried out the crime (which he already did, incidentally.)

gawd, he's such a train wreck.

pahunkboy, the only exceptions i know of are for mistrials, or dismissals, or something like that. since he was acquitted, double jeopardy applies (unfortunately).

Did Alex Jones tell you that, because then you would both be wrong.

Good point-   but as I recall--  there was talk of federal and state charges.  A high profile case might be charged on one but not the other.   Then maybe they could got him on contempt-  obstruction of justice.   He made a big deal out of that glove- flew to Chicago- the whole thing was a nut show.  hourly updates- the surreal car chase.   the judges hair doo- the pool boy.

Oprah says no such thing is happening so...

the daily mail picked it up from the National Enquirer, which, last time i checked, wasn't a reputable source of news.

Who the hell listens to Opry Windbag anyway?

Some of us have more important things to do like work to pay a mortgage or 2.

He cannot be charged at the state level for any part of the crime ever again, double jeopardy. Sometimes the feds bring civil rights charges or such against someone who is acquited at the state level for something like this but the statute of limitations for all that sort of stuff are long expired.

candisa -> RE: OJ to confess to OW (6/23/2011 2:50:16 PM)

I heard that Oprah had a dream of OJ confessing to her, I have not heard that it really happened, but could be wrong.
Hopefully this dream will come true, to help heal everyone involved.

Why not try him for perjury then?
