If you ignore the politics altogether, I get the feeling he's the kinda guy you'd like to have living next door. A mensch.

Far be it from me to assert that there are more than enough who already "ignore the politics altogether" yet are still incensed about his current residence.....I'm thinking him living next door would ,in their minds,be just about enough to justify a good old cross burning

He does seem like a very decent guy, Boi, and I appreciate his sense of humor. It's just a shame that he hasn't yet come to understand that the answer to every problem isn't a new government program.

Now if I could get him out on the deck for beer and steaks, I might be able to talk a bit of sense to him.

Yes, I know. The lady next door would have a fit. She is already upset because of "what's happening to our neighborhood (gasp, dark people are moving in)" and is thinking of selling and moving to Fla permanently. What is sad is she spent her whole life as a teacher educating our kids. Hopefully her hate didn't spread too far.

Oh and for those who keep track of these things. She's a lifetime liberal and big time union supporter
