To gain a slave, one must be worthy of such. The beginning is to decide to make yourself thus, the result is to acquire the slave. These are as the alpha and the omega, with many steps between. The greater effort and care taken traveling this path results in the greater reward. A shortcut does not exist.

funny you should ask as I obtained one here (via Cmail and not the forums) and we're talking 24/7 real time in the house rather than play on-line or BDSM session girl. This is what works so abandon the "I'm an evil sadistic slave master" approach and take up the "I am a man really interested in you and here is why..." approach. No shortcuts here just because it is CM and not Match.com.

This is very true. Had Arturas aproached me in that manor of Gorean I would have not given him a second chance. The vanilla was more important. Usually but not always when a Dom comes off all big and bad it is a major turn-off. We spent alot of time doing the average dating things. Slowly we intergrated the lifestyle.

RS....i couldn't help but notice that that particular slavemart is next door to the smaller, but much more frequented Frenzy Shack.... Lower quality merchandise, but they come with less instructions.

OP....the better question may be..."How does one go about keeping a slave?" Best of luck....

priceless.

And, taking some pity on the OP, I'm going to add in some hopefully actually useful advice.

a) Do everything that one needs to do to attract any partner in your locality... dress right, be out in the right places to meet them, be personable, charming, attentive, etc.
b) Add on to that, be dominant in a socially comfortable way.
c) Add on to that, be worthy of owning a human being.

That last one probably isn't necessary to getting the slave but it's going to be the toughest part of keeping one.

Some good points, loved the poem, here is a couple of more things.

1. Honesty, which is more than being true to others, it is about being true to yourself
2. Decent human being before all else, that doesn't mean being perfect, none of us are the perfect, Top, Dom or Master, we all have warts and the ability to laugh at ourselves on occasion, is part of what makes a good decent human being.
3. While subs are somewhat available, slaves are extremely rare and are pearls beyond price, so you have willing to wait to that special one who will gel just right with you.
4. If it is gonna happen, it will happen when you least expect it to.
5. Being realistic also helps, just as you are not perfect, neither will anyone who might serve you. Your job is to help them to be better.
6. This one is really important! Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. Know exactly who you are first, understand that ownership is not a trivial process, make damn sure you understand your motivations.

OP, this isn't meant to be snarky, simply cathcy and memorable, but remember

A Slave is for life, not just the weekend.

Your heading into a long term deal and it isnt all service and blow jobs, so you need to show your personality, they have to have something they can connect with during down time too.
