There are a lot of simple acts of service mentioned. I have to confess that I am not much with flowers and bulbs; but if you want the back forty planted with Lob-Lolly Pine, I'm your man. I do have one concern. Do any of you find that there is a fine line between being of service and being intrusive? I worry about being presumptious.

Still it seems that the most important skill that is necessary for doing something awesome is listening. I am in luck here. After half a dozen beatings, I usually get a clue!

Thank you for your comment. I had some great teachers when it comes to sharps. There had been opportunities for clip to see Me put needles into others, so hopefully, that helped.
As for being concerned about being obtrusive, you have the key to your answer in your own response. If you listen to her when she comments that she would like this or that, and she's not the type to just mention things on a whim, it's a good indication. Test the waters on a *small* thing and see how that goes. You'll see by her response how well the concept went over.
On the flower bed, it was pretty simple for clip. Not only had I mentioned wanting to get flowers in a number of times but couldn't due to the schedule that I had then, he also had MP to consult as a back up. Friends and family usually know if someone likes surprises or not. [;)]
