From the article...

"The untreated mice quickly learned the most direct approach to finding the correct hole, while the exposed males appeared to employ a random, inefficient trial and error strategy,"

I know they're referring to an actual "hole" (nothin' sexual), but damn if my dirty mind didn't run with that!!! [sm=rofl.gif]lol

Didn't read it, but I remember something else about mice. When fed a sodium floride rich diet they performed below par on the maze tests. I read that butter can cause heart disease and we should eat margarine. Red meat is no good, no wait, now it is. Wait, what day is this ?

T^T

Margarine?   heck-  that is one chemical away from plastic.

Two atoms. Something like that, and it isn't a thermoset, it is a thermoplastic, and a damn near useless one.

Don't get me wrong, I want no part of margarine, but the bones in your body are also very similar to plaster of Paris.

Maybe you should get your information from reputable sources.

Two atoms. Something like that,

Uhmmm...no. Besides, even if it were, there can be a huge difference in a molecule with a one atom difference.

oxygen = two atoms of oxygen
ozone = three atoms of oxygen

sodium hypochlorite (aka "bleach") = one atom of sodium, one atom of chloride, one atom of oxygen
sodium chloride (aka table salt) = one atom of sodium, one atom of chloride

Sometimes you don't even need any differences. Both glucose and mannose contain 6 carbon atoms, 6 oxygen atoms and 12 hydrogen atoms. Mannose is a steroisomer of glucose, so it's 3D configuration is different than that of glucose. They are chemically identical in terms of their composition, but behave differently.

So let's say margarine is a few molecules (not atoms) different from plastic. You can't really compare it since a difference in molecules would provide an even more profound contrast than the difference of one atom, exemplified above.

Of course, BPA, a synthetic oestrogen used to soften plastics, that is known about and that is why many plastic products are now proudly boasting BPA free.

BPA has been found to be used in infants drinking bottles and bottled water, and is just another indication of how we are blindly fucking our and other species up with our superior intellect in using the things that we do.

But, did no one actually think that to use a synthetic oestrogen type product in plastic food containers there might have been a risk to health.

But of risks to health, maybe not death, but the insidious modification of our and other species, it's happening peoples, pharmaceuticals finding their way into the food chain. Climate change if human caused is one thing, for we can all see it, but how about sex change due to our chemicals in our food, no one seems to be making a big noise and a fortune on that do they ? Or maybe it is as the oil industry is the big denier in climate change, the Pharmaceutical and Petro- Chemical industries are the big denier in unwanted chemical sex change.
