Hey, that's fair, nobody has to give somebody a second shot at anything, but just don't complain about wasting your precious time. You have exactly the same amount of time as anybody else, and its worth exactly the same as well. It's worth just what you paid for it...nothing.

While I am not sure what she had done,she did contact me, I do not contact people on the net because I am sure it would come down to what are you in to.That I am clueless .Having someone threatening to kick me ass and so forth over the phone didnt rattle my cage,BUT when someone threatens to go to my school and tell the admin what a pervert I am ,thats over the line for having to postpone, at least in my opinion.Especially when I let them know the day before ,the nite we were supposed to meet.Maybe its just me but my school should not be in the mix.i do try very hard to be on time for any of my apointments and if something does come up like breaking the front end of my car on 436 I let people know Asap.

Say two folks agree to meet on a Friday. That means the chick rescheduled stuff during her week (nails, etc) to make that good first impression. That means dragging her ass to the nail salon instead of going home after work on Wednesday evening to relax. That really is her time spent. My time is pretty valuable. There are many demands on it, and I have to schedule myself. If someone cancels on me the day before, I will give him a second chance---maybe! There's just too many men who are too chickenshit to show for coffee for me to dedicate too much effort to the ones who are not willing to expend the same. Regarding the woman on the phone--not a predator, just an asshole. A good thing to remember is not to agree to anything that makes you uncomfortable.

i think society is very closeted. all males have a natural urge to be with women, and they fulfill it in any way they can. at any moment, 90% of the male population doesn't get as much sex as they need. so, when males try to go after females, they are labeled predators? i think this is very unfortunate. they r not trying to hurt anyone, all they are trying to do is find a nice woman to be with.

Well, straight males have a natural urge to be with women and I think it's more a question of getting as much sex as they want, rather than as much as they need. People - both men and women - don't necessarily need as much as they want. Nobody is saying that just merely wanting to be with a woman makes a man a predator. What makes him a predator is the way he goes about it. I know plenty of NON-predatory males, and I've also come across some who ARE predators. ~Hisprettybaby~

hi hannah, thanks for the compliments :) for one, we need a clear definition of a predator ... if its someone who forcibly rapes women in dark alleys, then sure, that is completely wrong, but if we mean politicians who send naked pics of themselves to women on craigslist, i sympathize with them ... and i understand where both of the types are coming from ... in a perfect world a person would get all the sex they want any time they want it ... but our world is not perfect

For instance, I know a man who, by all accounts, is a predator and might qualify as a stalker as well - over the last year at least, he's harrassed more than half a dozen women, mostly by bombarding them with unwanted correspondence and private messages, and genuinely appears not to realise that what he's doing was not welcome even when he was told to his face. Repeatedly. He's been banned from more than one munch because of that and his name seems to come up only with 'Creepy' prefacing it. What definition of 'predator' does he fit into?

If I have a hint of bad vibes, I don't meet, even at Starbucks, cuz then he would know my car. A potential Dom was offended that I would not give him my home address before we met and dared me to google him. Well, being more resourceful, I looked him up in my county's Clerk of Courts database and found that he had two domestic violence charges, two different women, 12 years apart. Needless to say, we never met and he never got my home address [8\|] I don't let strangers know my place of work. If I were going to school, I might mention the name, but not in conjunction with my last name. So g2011, I think your potential really overreacted to your cancelling 24 hours ahead. But in the future, hold back identifying info until you know someone better.

Geee... I've not read through all the responses yet. Just when I'm starting to seriously consider attending Munches and such, I reminded of the fact it might not be a good thing. Well, I'm not socially awkward or ugly so at least I have those two things in my favor. Being mislabeled as a predator, now that would be a trip and a half. Then again, if you think about it... anybody looking for somebody else is on "the hunt" lol.

I like people who are respectful of my time, I try to be respectful of theirs too, so I don't stand people up and expect the same from them.
