pahunkboy -> can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 7:51:28 AM)

http://www.akinator.mobi/us    A few of us did.

Rule -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 7:57:25 AM)

Yes, I stumped the Genie.

I was thinking of the character F'nor in the Pern-series of books by Anne McCaffery. After 19 questions - none of them asking whether it was a character from a book - the Genie said: I think of :

Ivan Braginski/Russia
( Axis Powers Hetalia)

GreedyTop -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 8:01:35 AM)

one of the questions I got was if the character was from a novel.. of course, that may depend entirely on the answers leading up to it...

pahunkboy -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 8:05:58 AM)

When you add the character to the database it is a stump....

Marc2b -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 8:09:53 AM)

Stumped him the first time (no I was not thinking of Darth Vader) but after about a half a dozen more questions he finaly narrowed in on William Adama.

I wonder what would happen if I pick a character I've made up?

Hmmm...

ETA: Okay, I don't know if this counts or not. The Genie did eventually guess that I was thinking of a character from my own imagination but it showed me a picture of some purple bird puppet thing... and my character is NOT a purple bird puppet thing.

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 8:11:33 AM)

He guessed wrong the first time after 19 questions, then got it after another 5 questions. I was thinking of too popular a character, obviously!

tazzygirl -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 8:11:44 AM)

Barry Bear
( Angry Beavers )

way off.

0ldhen -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 9:49:59 AM)

Well after 80+ guesses the Genie asked me to name my character, give the origins etc....

I was thinking of Uller the Shyne, the Lantis Sagas, by Wulfgar.

myotherself -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 10:33:39 AM)

ROFLMAO!!!

After a few easy hits, I stumped it with.....

John Norman! [:D]

LillyBoPeep -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 11:25:55 AM)

i ALMOST stumped him with Nate Grey (X-Man) but alas... he guessed it. =p haha
fun fun

Marc2b -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 11:26:53 AM)

I wonder what would happen if we tried some of the "characters" we have around here.

Hmmmm....

ETA: Well... according to the Genie... THIS is pahunkboy.

ETA: And HERE is the Genie's second attempt.

ETA: Aw frick! It stopped working! After thirty-nine questions it crashed! I think the Genie "thinks" I'm pulling it's leg.

ETA: Apparently I have to stay on the page in order for the link to work. [>:] Oh well (y'all just have to trust me that it was funny).

LillyBoPeep -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 11:57:33 AM)

ah haaaa i finally stumped it with Selendrile from Dragon's Bait. ^_^ haha

Marc2b -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 12:09:27 PM)

Stumped it again with "Ute" from the Gor books (#7 IIRC).

Thanks to myotherself for the inspiration to think of a Gorean slave girl.

poise -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 12:23:06 PM)

Not stumped, but I made that Genie think hard!
It took him 13 guesses to come up with Pikachu.

I thought he was on to me by question 8, but then he asked if
my character wears a very sexy miniskirt or ever attended University. [:-]

LillyBoPeep -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 12:27:12 PM)

i stumped it with sharon kihara, the belly dancer ^_^

LillyBoPeep -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 12:32:47 PM)

yay! the only belly dancer it seems to know is Rachel Brice. haha
stumped it with Asharah ^_^

Arpig -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 1:24:01 PM)

Yes, I am confident I can beat it every time. I have an unfair advantage...I'm a history buff from Canada. The genie doesn't stand a chance.
My system is to pick relatively unknown famous Canadians.
I beat it with Andy McNaughton (1st commander of the 1st Cdn. Army in WW2)  & Sam Hughes (Cdn Minister of Militia/Defense in WW1).
I had a few others in mind but it got boring after two.

pahunkboy -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 1:30:14 PM)

then you must add them to the data base.

Phoenixpower -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 2:50:26 PM)

Me being a cartoon geek I took Mulan...which he figured out with question 13 already...after turning angerly red halfway there [:D]

LillyBoPeep -> RE: can you stump the Genie? (6/29/2011 3:07:30 PM)

i can't believe Aesop was only played 82 times. that's bananas...
