Seriously - for a run-off for Mayor and a run-off for City Councilman, I received no fewer than 15 pieces of mail at residence and 10 at my P.O.Box.

Yes, I am. One of the little-known features of the stimulus was a subsidy for laid-off workers buying health insurance. Thanks to it, this diabetic could afford to maintain his coverage during unemployment.

I'm happy to hear that. If lack of subsidy ever becomes a problem you can apply for SSD and/or medicare/medicaid.

Though I will mention these things could become a problem to get should inflation get wildly out of control due to the squandering of our dollars over the last 50 or 60 years.  I don't have a problem with life sustaining aid but most of that 4 trillion has been squandered (including the Obama slush fund part of it) like all the rest of the debt.  Waste, fraud, cost over runs, bankers, pouring money down dark holes for failed businesses, moochers and looters and everyday greedy scum suckers have made it precariously close to screwing it up for every one.

I don't think that would work as a bumper sticker (unless you spend way too much time in gridlock), but I like it!

Us to, part of the Obama stimulus plan was a non paid back grant for businesses that hired 2 or more full time employees, the amounts varied, but yeah, we hired 5 this year actually , and construction is definitely picking up here in Maine, so much more than 2 years ago, and my bartending gig is slamming busy, more and more tourists and more and more people with money to spend gong out for dinner drinks, so yep, we are. Thanks President Obama.
