You may not understand the allure.  I may not understand the allure.  However, some people really love giving away their money to satisfy this kink.  It's the different strokes for different folks thing.

I've actually met one man who, after claiming to be in love with my erotic literature, offered to work solely to provide money for me. Apparently, from his point of view, it was like some sort of long-lasting, tangible servitude. He wanted to give me money, I was supposed to buy things with that money, and knowing that he provided luxury for me made him both proud and satisfied in some odd submissive sort of way.

Naturally, I declined. Luxury is just too much to keep up after!

Who says you have to spend the money on luxury items? If a guy has a fetish for giving money away, by all means, let him have his fetish. After he gives it away, he has no right to tell you how it's to be spent.

Godiva chocolate. Caviar. Egyptian cotton sheets.
Plus you could just claim to be eating bon bons while reclining on the lux sheets while actually eating take out in front of the tv.

Haha. Either way, I just have no interest in accepting money. Call it pride, but I hardly like receiving birthday money (especially from my parents). Or maybe call it non-interest, because a monetary display of affection does not appeal to me. I have absolutely nothing against the fetish, and even pointed him in the direction of a trustworthy Financial Domme I knew of. I just personally would let that extra money sit around since I don't buy much. A bit wasteful of his efforts, isn't it? I like to be earnest.

Money is such a powerful motivator in life. So many things hinge on it. People make major decisions based on it. It even interferes in areas that are supposed to be governed by emotions. You might say that it's the most powerful thing in the world. Everyone needs it to some degree, almost everyone wants as much of it as they can get...it's not so hard to see a sexual or kinky tie to this powerful object. It's not my kink, but I can see where the charge comes from.

I don't do FD nor ever have or will. It is not for me and it does nothing for me.

However....

For subs who want to be financially dominated, it is just that a consensual form of domination. It makes them feel controlled and submissive all the time, in a way similar to wearing a chastity device 24/7.

I think people who dislike FD do so for a variety of reasons, one of which is money has value to the dominant outside of the bdsm relationship and does not require the sub to be there for the dominant to realise that benefit. This makes it appear to some to be a somewhat cold form of dominance. It could be subject to abuse. However, so can all kinds of submissive action. It is just because it is cold hard cash, it riles people badly.

I say, YKIOK and FD is fine as long as it is part of a consensual agreement.

I cannot even imagine how many of that sort of email I've received. Each and every time I directed them to give to a specific charity and send me proof that they had done so. I have never ONCE had someone do it.

It is my belief, based upon what I've read, that many people use the money bait, to attempt to slide themselves into another type of arrangement. I sincerely believe there are very very few that just want to give money away for nothing in return.

Now right now........if they wanted to buy me some new camera gear, I might be nice and send them a few photos of MY choosing!!

Yup, their kick seems to be trying to get your address, some claimed that the scanner doesn't work or they want to give me something, I think I mentioned it before, I made an Amazon wish list, anything from $5 to $50, so if they wanted to get me a paperback, they could have easily done so... Not that I expected to get anything for nothing, bear in mind those guys searched me out and kept on bugging me that they WANT to give me something...

Exactly.........and so the best way to shut them up is to let them think you actually believe them....... THEN be a real bitch and demand they either put up or shut up.

POOF!!!!!!!!!!! GONE!

Giving is giving.  Some subs give sex, some give domestic servitude, some endure pain, and some give money.

And some laugh at my jokes.

~FR~ Hmmm. I'm new at Domming. I've never had a sub want to give me money outright, but mine offered to pay halfsies for a strap-on he knows I want. I'm still considering it.

For me, taking money in a relationship is bad karma.  I do my best to follow my passions regardless of the consequences.  Money interferes with this.  I especially never take money from family and friends even when my work might save them hundreds to thousands of dollars.  I see nothing but bad karma when money is exchanged in a relationship.

I view "financial domination", in one of two ways:

1)  The Owner completely controls the ownee's funds -- thus, rendering the ownee financially dependent upon the Owner.

2)  The ownee has no funds, and thus, is financially dependent upon the Owner.
