I found collarme about 6 months ago in my quest to learn more about D/s after having been first introducede to the lifestyle around that time.  I realized I have always had submissive tendencies/desires, since a young child, but just didn't have a name for it.

I just recently started reading the message boards, and wish I had done so sooner.  It would have saved me a lot of frustration.  Being naive in this lifestyle, I have fallen for some of the lines from the fakes and @$$holes out there, but thankfully, I'm a quick study.  Dating on the vanilla side most of my life, I had learned most of the red flags that exist in that world.  In this lifestyle though, it seems there are a whole new set of games, manipulations and untruths.  I guess I should have realized that that would be the case.

Several times, I doubted that this lifestyle was really for me.  I have made the mistake of being untrue to myself in order to "prove" my submissiveness to those that were not worthy.  It seems many just want a body, the person inside does not matter. 

I think I am more grounded and on the right track now, though.  I got angry enough with some of these experiences that I vowed I'm going to be who I am from now on instead of putting on a mask to please another.  I'm realizing its all about compatibility and have been lucky enough to find a Dom with whom I can really be myself.  We have just been talking so far and will meet next week.  Even if things don't work out, the experience thus far has been very helpful.

And then there are the message boards.  The posts I have read so far have really been enlightening.  The more I read, the more I realize that this lifestyle is what I crave.  I realize I don't have to be a doormat, that I can (and should) be discriminating, and that it is not only normal, but reasonable, to expect to find a Dom who's desires encompass more than giving orders and having sex.  It has given me hope that it is possible to find One to whom I could truly submit, One who wishes to completely know my heart, my mind, and my body, and I his.

Have you tried Gor? Try learning about it on the Gorean chats and discussion Rooms. It is my belief that us Goreans have a different aproach regarding tutoring slaves. I do not know much about Gor.  I have had a couple books suggested to me on the subject, and do plan on reading them.  However, I am more submissive than slave, so I am guessing my attraction to Gor will be mostly of a curious nature.

For the right connection and Man, I would move just about anywhere.  However, that distance does make meeting and getting to know each other very difficult.  :)

Yes, for getting to know about Gor, you need to read about Gor - John Normans books. No one can describe the scene better than the book. If you read the book, and like what you read, you will see how you can also blend in. I was in the Gorean scene for about a year, and I loved it.

I try to explain to many, that Gorean slave, are of high submissive nature. Slave in average BDSM or SM, are much interpreted as masoquists.

In Gor, the relation betwenn a girl and his owner is much more fullfiling (in my oppinion) than in BDSM.

True, you may need to read the books, but most girls trust a Master to show them the path. No girl offers herself to a Master, without proper training. No true Master, accepts a girl not duely trained. There is a higher standard of trust and communication here. And higher expectations. Thats why so many girls rellocate international and intercontinental...

Before deciding to read the books (I or other Masters can send them to you already prepared for printing in a word file) you can read lots of info that resume a lot.

A huge difference in Gor vs BDSM, is that most honorable Masters (whitout honour, none recognize them as Master) will assist your training and guide you. Rules are common, so it is easy.
