Has your Sir read this thread? Id send it to him. "i dont think he really understands" doesnt sound too healthy does it?
And i agree, if you wait till you have time to recentre yourself, there wont be a You left to centre!
Bit like those people that say, when im better, im going to ........................ but never do. They remain ill instead.
Good luck. And dysfunctional families are fucking entertaining from the outside, as your Sir will be. He doesnt have the emotional baggage that you do. He'll also see patterns of your behaviour that perhaps perpetuate the dysfunction. My Sir did when my bloody awful Domme/sadistic fucking bitch from hell mother came to visist. (for a sodding month!) It explained quite a few things to him that id not managed to put into words. Its a learning curve. He also got to call her a cunt face for me, highly therapeutic for me to witness! And a long time coming for her. Every family dysfunctions at times. Even his. Just coz yours maybe does it 24/7, doesnt mean he wont have experience of it himself.
