Happy colonial cousins day greetings from across the pond

Nice to see you giving your future King and Queen a nice welcome. [8D]

Chuckles ... Ps53, ... in the spirit of good fun, cooperation and teasing ...

one guess what Monday means for colonies and King's and Queen's?

As well as Dictators, Communists and every other Authoritarian form of government thoughout the world?

Something like a bad hangover day in July ... LOL

In my generous, festive, holiday mood [:)] I will give you a hint ...

we call it Independence Day! [;)] or the Fourth of July! [;)]

The close proximity of the two holidays, Canada Day and Independence Day, has always struck me!

Best wishes to our Canadian brothers and sisters (as well as some of my real family) on Your special Day!

Oh, and Ps53 .. you ennggggllliiissshhh too! [;)]

I think Detroit is the only place in the US(not counting Alaska) that is actually north of Canada.
North isn't a direction, it's a state of mind.

Nope, at least Bellingham, Washington and Lake of the Woods, Minnesota are north of the 49th parallel.
Tee hee! Canadians know more about US geography than Yanks! All hail federally subsidised universities!

Yes, You are correct! [:)] They are north of the 49th parallel.

Yet Windsor and Essex County, are truly SOUTH of Detroit! ROFL

Old Fort Malden, which the British ran to after they were tossed from Detroit, was established SOUTH OF DETROIT!

ROFL ... take a close look at the map ... you will see Southwestern Ontario, is SOUTH of Detroit!

That is why we have good hockey teams ... too! [;)]

Arpig -> RE: Happy Canada D'Eh! (7/2/2011 1:35:19 AM)

And south of a lot of other places in the U.S. too.[8|]

This year, we just call it Monday. [;)]

I must admit in 2005 I was in Shreveport on July 4th, without doubt it was the best fireworks display I have ever seen.

Happy Monday all the same.
