Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie said Monday that his agency "will be investigating the matter and will conduct the appropriate follow up." Hacking on Fox News Twitter reports Obama's death updated 7/4/2011 9:11:44 AM ET NEW YORK — Hackers broke into Fox's political Twitter account early Monday, posting updates saying President Barack Obama had been assassinated. A series of six tweets coming from the FoxNewsPolitics account reported that Obama had been shot to death in Iowa and the shooter was unknown. In a statement posted on its website later Monday morning, Fox News called the tweets "malicious" and "false." It said the hacking is being investigated. Obama plans to spend the July Fourth holiday at a barbecue at the White House with military families and administration staffers. Secret Service spokesman George Olgilvie says the agency wouldn't comment on the tweets. Fox's political Twitter account has more than 34,000 followers. Copyright 2011 The Associated Press. The person who did the hacking will be under investigation, not FOX. They are the ones who alerted the secret service.

I didn't click it because I have a complex edit going on and I think maybe one more window and I'm fucked... But I am going to assume you mean the instance where the British Law Enforcement traced Cell Phone Voicemail hacking to a P.I. that was under contract to Murdoch's News Of The World. Yeah... but even though Murdoch uses basically a template for standards of behavior and journalistic verite'.... I would have needed someone from Britain who regularly sees their content to provide corroboration. But yeah, that is pretty fucked up, isn't it?
