Indeed. If I'm remembering rightly it featured heavily in Koyaanisqatsi.

And you can’t get better than that.

I've got the boxed set, and play it quite often as background music/images to unwind to ... the other 2 in the series are good, but Koyaanisqatsi is my fave.

Hanners has them on CD and uses them that way as well.

The first in particular I find tremendously relaxing ... a combination of Philip Glass' somewhat odd soundtrack and the amazing images ... BTW the box set wasn't all that expensive on DVD the last time I looked. I think a lot of people have forgotten about the films.

<googles>

Yeah Amazon have the Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi set on DVD for £5.49. Worth every penny IMHO, and then some. Still scores 8.2 on IMDB, which is remarkable considering how "alternative" it was, and indeed still is.

When I was stationed in the Coast Guard in Maine one of my former shipmates was assigned as the light keeper on Portland head light.
He and his family lived at the light.
There's a national park all around it.

That's a really nice lighthouse one of my favorites to view from the water... and an important one considering the relative elevation... you can see it from almost 30 miles out.

This is my favorite outhouse to view from the water.

This one doesn't have a light for some reason though.

That's special... run into Larry Craig there much... I here he likes 'seafood'

Here's where I was just fishing... on a sweltering day it's a 20 minute walk. I'm thinking of doing my walk before sundown tonight, If I do I;ll show you the view from from a block away it's a little more 'fishing community' but it's majorly postcard looking...
