Yanno how they ask in interviews "where do you see yourself in five years"? I always drew a blank on that kind of question, but how about what you would LIKE to be doing in five years? Or just a thing you would like to do, for an entertainment or holiday?

I want to learn Italian properly. I learned it along with English as a child, but it's dialect, and my grandmother having been gone nearly four years now, I lose more and more. I have to *decipher* what my Sardinian FB friends post. I want to be fluent, and be able to WRITE properly. Dagonian spelling is HELL.

I want to go to the UK. I went after I got my first second master's degree, in the early 90's. Only a five day trip, but it was fabulous! Early January, brilliant weather, wallked all over the place, ate much pastry. OMG pastry. This time I want TWO WEEKS (eep) of travel, I want to go to Cornwall, Brighton, all the places with beaches. London, of course. I want to go to the Colinette yarn factory, but... it's in this charming town in Wales called Powys. [:o] I am sure Peon will guard my body.

i want to be fluent with french. i started french classes in high school and reeeeally really liked it. i took classes off and on through college, but without someone to talk to (i used to have a french email buddy), i've lost a lot of it. i can read some things, like silly phrases on plates in a chinese shop i visited over the weekend (yeah, there was a plate there with french phrases -- not sure why!), but i'd love to be able to have real conversations and such.

and i'd also like to GO to france and see it for myself. and visit the Louvre. i'd like to go back to england and see more of it; the times i was there before, i was mostly in the north.

in the next five years? i'd like to have a family of my own and to be living somewhere that i really enjoyed. i'm shopping around for "wheres" at the moment. =p i'd like to sell more paintings -- that would be cool!

I want to travel internationally more.. I want to learn at least basic conversational in many languages.

I want to have my finances be better than they are (income, savings, etc)

I want to live in an actual HOUSE again, whether or not it's rented..

In Chaos's line of work, such plans are difficult. Might be here another 5 yrs, might be across the world again.

What do I want to be doing in 5 years?

I guess chain smoking and pacing up and down outside the hospital waiting for my 1st grandchild to be born.

Other than that, I don't know...a girl or two to play with would be nice.

I profess to have no visions of the future.

That said, were I to tilt my mien into the hazy foreshadow of existence, I would grant myself a calm, steady existence. The um would develop social skills. The cat would be a tad less needy of anti-psychotic medication. Life would be horribly bland, which is to say, a new thing, and not entirely without merit.

Oh, for a rudder, and less rutting.

Well adjusted happy children.

To feel like I've achieved SOMETHING improved myself somehow. Accomplished something. .

In five years the little farmette will be paid off. Some sort of traveling, vacation, type home will have been purchased. My photography business will be actually making a profit. Generic Dude's business will be making big coin.

Other than the above..........I am just a go with the flow kinda person.

I want to finish college
I want to travel more
I want to be more physically fit
I want to learn to play guitar
I want my daughter to have a degree in something that she loves
I want my daughter to be married, healthy and happy
I want Master to be healthy and happy and have all his dreams as well
I want ...other things that I won't mention here lol

In 5 years, I see myself celebrating 10 years with (IMHO) the most wonderful Man in the World.

I'd have seen my oldest son get out of the Marines, hopefully to get his degree and maybe even get married.

I want my Life Coaching to supersede my Teaching in income and personal satisfaction.

In 5 years, my second son will be almost out of the Marines (or starting his second tour).

And my daughter will be well into her college years.

I want them all to be healthy and happy.

And I want to be a splendidly happy empty-nester, with Sir being able to chase me nekkid around the house - if He so chooses.

I am bumping my thread, BECAUSE I CAN!! [:D]

I have a mandolin under my bed (the musical kind, not the slicer) gathering dust. I have always wanted to learn to play well, but never had the dedication to toss one of my other activities so that I could PRACTICE. Also, Dad worked afternoons, so there was No Noise for much of the day. Anyway.

I want to be able to do frivolous things on a much more serious level. Travel more randomly (as in weekends awayyyy).

And of course for many years I've had a Personal Goal of fucking Henry Rollins. I KNOW Hank would be up for it! So if any of you can set that up, kthx in advance!

Yes you can  and I can play the trumpet, we'd start a duo MisHibiscus [:D]

In 5 more yrs I want to speak spanish fluently (still learning) and in another 5 more, move to Spain.

I do not wish for happiness, coz, where I come from, I cannot be happier than I now already am.
I do not wish for money, coz, I can live with what I have.
I do wish I can be a better paintartist, so I could make a living out of it, but then, I've 10 yrs to go.

One place I definitely am going to see and if that is within 5 or 10 or 20 yrs... the Taj Mahal, but I already know, that I'll be ending there like Lady Di back in the days... alone on the bench.
