I agree. He should just keep going on TV every night and saying, "I'm right here waiting to review and either sign or veto any legislation sent to me by Congress, and the Republican lead Congress has chosen to not send me anything yet again...."

After interrupting a few nights of DWTS, people will understand the issue...

Absolutely, lockedaway.

Thank you for your contributions here, as well.

Yes of course, the far lefts answer to everything -

Raise taxes.

Want to eliminate the deficit?

Let the "temporary" Bush Tax Cuts expire already! They didn't do what they were advertised to do, and it's stupid to throw good money after bad.

Of course, Sanity, liberals want to tax because your success is their failure.  And then there's this:

BamaD -> RE: 9.2 (7/8/2011 9:52:40 AM)

If tax rates are higher next year than this year it is a tax increase  no matter what rates were 10 years ago.
A slight extension of this logic would argue that until the top bracket pays 90% as it did when Kennedy took office nothing is a tax increase.

Sanity -> RE: 9.2 (7/8/2011 9:54:54 AM)

It would be an insane waste of time for Congress to craft legislation only to have Obama veto it farglebargle

Thats why theyre currently in   n e g o t i a t i o n s

So in other words, you lied about the Bush Tax Cuts being temporary.

And the Republicans should just keep on going on TV every night and saying, "We've been right here for the past two years waiting to review and either approve or disappove a FY2010 and/or FY2011 Federal Budget Proposal sent to us by Obama, and he has chosen to not send us anything yet for either year.

I think it was May that most of the new jobs were literally jobs at McDonalds

But still, McDonalds workers dont suck money out of the economy the way government "workers" do

quote:

ORIGINAL: Lucylastic

ironic that you find 700,000 jobs cut to be fine..but the overall employment numbers to be unimportant when its pointed back at the repubs , unless the cuts comes from the government workers... arent you speshul
I bet you think Orrin Hatch is right too
dont you

Lucylastic -> RE: 9.2 (7/8/2011 10:01:10 AM)

You toss that word lie around pretty easy.  I never said it was temporary or thought it should be.  I will type slow for you  if taxes go up it is a tax increase even if it is because a "temporary" cut expired.

mnottertail -> RE: 9.2 (7/8/2011 10:02:06 AM)

Yeah, that would be fucking funny, then we can laugh at the ineptitude of the lawless republican goons and thugs some more.

But it wouldnt be news, they say ignorant shit out of hand and mouth constantly:

Where does it say that in the Constitution? Aren't y'all big on "Constitutional Authority?"

So, you can't ever expire a 'temporary' tax cut without being accused of raising taxes? Nice. What color is the sky when you look up. It's blue in our world...

subrob1967 -> RE: 9.2 (7/8/2011 10:09:23 AM)

Last time I looked the Republican's only held 1/2 of Congress, yanno, the one that actually proposed a budget... 801 days without a budget, and the majority of that time was when the Democrats had a supermajority... Makes one wonder why they wouldn't actually budget for all the spending they've done in the last three years... Methinks they were afraid to actually put in writing how much money they game away to their supporters... That goes for BOTH sides.

mnottertail -> RE: 9.2 (7/8/2011 10:12:13 AM)

there is no filibuster in the house, thanks for playing.  majority and supermajority mean nothing,  remember the folks were voted in to fix the debt, they are simply inept.

I love it when I make you burst into flames like this... [:D]

And no, as Ive pointed out before in this very thread

Its only in far left fantasy land that government could possibly wave its magical hiring wand and make everything all better

In real life the more government grows the more government taxes the economy

Quite literally...

Leftists demonize those who dare to address the deficit

Accuse them (for example) of wanting to push grandma off a cliff
