Are we just trying to figure out where the ref was? In the first few seconds, he's way on the edge of the screen on the left hand side. Or am I missing what we're supposed to be figuring out?

LOL I watched it the first time and thought wtf? After Arpig's post I watched it twice and got it the second time. Where did that dude come from?

You can't see him coming because the camera's on a close up. He doesn't suddenly materialize, he just gets into camera range.
