I just went with nothing even though it really does not apply persay. Quig is just one of 4 fur bearing animals in this house and less than 10% of the hair issues. Quig just hangs out, doing whatever he wants. He goes in and out, pretty much whenever he wants. The only place there is an issue with cat hair is the place he crashes when he comes in. It is a pile of old blankets on a table downstairs. Occasionally I take them outside and shake them out, then wash them. The dogs on the other hand. It is a never ending battle. Especially this time of year. All three are shedding profusely. Much combing with the shedding comb which is AWESOME and worth every single penny of the $20 paid for it. It words on the cat I tried it. It works on on the little dog with the minpin coat. And it works on the two bigger dogs, both of which have serious undercoats. Nala's dad is a plush coat and while she isn't, she is also not a shining example of a short coated shepherd either. Sandy is a combo of Chow (talk about HAIR) Shepherd, and coyote. We have hair. Lots and LOTS of hair.

As much as Firm and I both love animals, we just don't have them. We can wear black with no problem, there are no litter boxes to clean, no letting animals in and out or taking for a walk, no "presents" left for us anywhere, we are free to take trips without having to arrange for care, no flea problem to battle, no midnight trips to the store because we ran out of cat or dog food, furniture and belongings aren't chewed or scratched... the list could go on. Sure, I miss having a pet to love on sometimes. I figure if it ever gets bad enough, I'll volunteer at the Humane Society or local shelter.

To clean show clothes at horse shows, we are partial to a lint roller that has sticky sheets on it. You roll it over your clothes, they get clean, then rip off the top sheet and use the fresh one next time. Only place I've ever seen it is a tack shop though.

Even in the shelf at the check out line at the grocer store. We keep them every where, even in our cars.

here it is for cats I don't recall if the Furminator is for use on cats , but I got one for my dog and it it really a miracle! Was expensive as hell, but it has really cut down on my cussing, so worth it in the long run. edit to add the link I found

I love love LOVE it! The dogs not so much so......but too damned bad. It has really cut down on the hair in the house. I wish I had bought it years ago.
