Is it just me, or does "Searching for Bigfoot", seem a little like "Blair Witch Project"?   I was really bored, so actually watched 10 min of the search, after 10 min, I didn't care if they found BigFoot or not.

Those people are some batshit. I want to live in a world where there are unexplained things and species that have not been discovered, but dudes hanging out looking for sqatches? Um, NO.

I like the idea of some things being a mystery.  I think there may be something to it, but I don't know.  I like the not knowing.  :)

Yes. I am a firm believer in stuff that we don't know WTF.

I like the idea of there being mystery as well. And who knows, it has happened.

Granted we're not talking about giant apes here, but still, new species are being discovered all the time and there's an awful lot of unexplored space in the Pacific NW and the BC interior, so we really don't know what might be wandering around in there.

See, that's where you and I are different, Lady Hib. I tend to believe more firmly in stuff that I *do* know about. For instance, I believe very firmly indeed in the existence of light bulbs, on account of there being one in the lamp to the left of my screen. Contrastingly, however, I find that I believe less firmly in the existence of talking hamsters, because I've never come across one. Well, vive la difference, I always say: it's all part of life's rich tapestry.

Yeah that's right up there with Ghost Hunters and Monster Quest. All those shows are nothing but hype and a waste of time you'll never get back. Those shows are made for people who are basically braindead.

Talking hams?? Coolness!

But I shall clarify: I want there to be unanswered questions, things that cannot be readily explained, phenomena that make us think. I was trained to be a scientist way back when, and it's never left me. So, while I KNOW that in order to have ONE Sasquatch, there must be a BREEDING POPULATION, I am intrigued by oddball sightings, and want to know what they ARE.

Which is why Ghost Hunters is one of my fave shows, I guess... Jason and Grant are into DEBUNKING oddball stuff, and most of the show is about showing that yeah, this happened to you, and THIS is the cause. When the DO find seriously unexplainable things and catch them on film, even cooler, because it's more to investigate. (most neato: there was a big old building with a FREEZING ballroom...J & G, being plumbers by trade, started mucking around in the basement and found that the vent shafts had been blocked ages ago by giant blankets! et voila, coldness explained)

(HILARIOUS is that show with Yvette Fielding, where they all shriek like kiddies whenever something creepy happens! It's like they're telling stories around the campfire, but with a FLIR instead of a flashlight!)

And...River Monsters, lol

I saw men (and one woman) all running through the forest at night, under the green glow of night vision cameras.  I swear it was the same people who did the BWP, and yeh, I'm pretty sure I lost a few brain cells.

I LOVE RIVER MONSTERS!!!

Shows about fish are supercool! The Hot Jeremy catching fish especially!
