Give your employees the afternoon off workto celebrate the anniversary of Ronald Reagan's 1981 sacking of the Air Traffic Controllers, whose union demanded 17 times more than the generous $40 million pay increase it had originally accepted.

Explain that you've absolutely no objection to honoring the employee's right to strike— just so long as they don't have any objections to the employer's right to sack.

Hank Aaron also hit his 500th home run.

He hit that day, he didn't "strike".

For all you racists on this forum that don't know, Hank was a black man and a damn good major league ball player.

At least his accomplishment merited mention on all of the "this day in history" sites.

Reagan's didn't.

I'll give myself the afternoon off in celebration of Hank.

Explain to those employees too that this is why all the experienced air traffic controllers are retiring at once--because of another dramatic move full of short term rhetoric and poor long term thinking.
