Reading your posts, it is clear you are not a "statist".

You are clearly a self-centered, self-important anarchist.

No he's fucking not: R0 wouldn't recognise voluntary co-operation if it bit him in the arse.
He's more the kind of Libertarian who can read Ayn Rand without pissing themself laughing and doesn't realise that any society is based on cooperation and compromise between its population.

People in bachmans state are going to start sobering up soon.  Seems with the government shut down, business can't renew their licenses to sell beer and smokes..thus forcing people to think clearly about who they put into office

Government shut-down bit Republicans in the ass big time in the early 90s.

Seems some of them are slow learners.

Yes..they got bit in the ass and then the Dems turnaround and claim credit for a near budget surplus that was directly attributable to the "GOP government shutdown". Guess what...they arent going to get away with either one this time.

You should get a job with FOX News. I think you would fit in well with that workplace.

what fucking planet did you crawl out from beneath?

Like first day of life on earth?

Thats the biggest bunch of horse manure I think I have heard to day, second only to mr. economans version of the monetary system always falling short of giving it true definition.

In reality, you have a few assholes that sit in a domed building and say this is the way its fucking gonna be.   Its a democracy and we the 300 have decided for you 5 million how its gonna be.  One shoe fits all, all the time.  That paper is passed down to the thugs with guns and they haul your ass into court to pay the temple priests in the black robes the ransom when you are fucking stupid enough to think you have rights and live in a free country when they own your ass.

You should know the drill, its been that way in england since the norman conquest.

the only voluntary cooperation you see is when a conspiracy is in play.

I rest my case, Fightderecto. I think the lad's just proven he's a libertarian not an anarchist in the post above...

Do you really believe what you say on here or are you just trying to stir up things?

There were no "near" budget surpluses, there were documented budget surpluses.  And yes that is plural.

So tell me Willbeur, not having your vast economic expertise, how does a brief government shutdown account for a multi-year budget surplus?

Obama and Dems fear mongering. Repubs should call Obama's bluff.

I see you failed both American History class and Civics class in school.

The United States of America is not, and never has been, a democracy.

When the Founding Fathers hammered out the Constitution, they created a Republic, not a democracy.

Republic, noun - a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen by them.

Democracy, noun - a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them.

The last known democracies were the city-states of ancient Greece (many of which, when they realized that pure democracy does not work, changed their governments to dictatorships). There have been no countries in the recorded history of the world that have been democracies.

No countries, but there have been plenty of smaller scaled democracies in the Greek sense. Most pof the communes scattered through Russia during and immediately after the revolution fit the bill, at least until the bolsheviks decided that as these were run by other factions (mostly kropotkinites and mensheviks) they had to go. The Israeli kibbutzes are run along democratic lines as well.

I'm not sure that's really a fair criticism to be laying on Ron in the first place, though: sadly most people use democracy and rule by elected representatives interchangeably, however incorrect that is in practice.

You forgot the rest of that. You might wanna go back a do some refresher course yourself.

b : a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections
