Status: offline 		I notice in the local Gothic/Punk crowd that the Top/Dom/Dommes
run towards the fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.
The bottom/sub/slaves are divided across the spectrum, but seem
mostly drawn from the fixed signs and the mutuable, Gemini,
Virgo, Sagitarrius and Pisces. 
 
Water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces; tend to be more on the mystical aspects and complete slave roles. The fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagitarrius; tend towards being thrill seekers and extreme play.  The Earth signs, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn; tend to be concerned with home and hearth, either wanting slaves for specific tasks or slaves looking to perform specific tasks.  Financial stability and home security ranks high in this group.  The Air signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius; tend toward being the high level communicators and also highly social creatures.  They run the gambut from mild to diplomatic to extremely wild.  But the big turn on for them is the mental connection and ability to share thoughts, images and the best medicine of all, laughter.

Status: offline 		I am an Aquarius/ Aquarius rising and a sub.  I have not posted before as I am new to the board and it was not necessary.  I have a collection of Scorpio friends including my Master/Hubby.  Master is Scorpio with Aries rising.   Thank You for your input as I am greatful for all the ideas I learn here.

Status: offline 		Thanks for the response in this thread but my generalised observation was  on female dominants only cause that was my area of intrest being a male submissive..there are quite an intresting inputs here but my observation was that the most common signs i have encountered as female dommes have been gemini virgo and scorpios..if it is not sun sign then ascendents surely play a role there..another observation i would like to make here is that the above mentioned signs are rarely vanillas.. would like to mention here that aries and scorpios are always kinky at least 99.9% of the times ..btw i am an aries too ..please see these are very generlised views based on sun signs only..would love to discuss astro charts  if someone wants to..

maybe worth a try.  If you want very fun, informative books
on astrology pick up anything by Linda Goodman.  Her many
books on the subject are available in the astrology section
of major bookstores and also on the Net.

I am a scorpio sun, pisces moon, leo ascendent Sub
He is a pisces sun, Cancer moon, and Sagittarian Ascendent Dom

I believe the house placements are definitely important as well.

Status: offline 		I'm kind of jaded about astrology for really stupid personal reasons. I once dated a dominant woman who was HUGELY into astrology. I actually thought it was kind of cool. She was also one of the first in a line of "I like you too much to want to hurt you but I want to continue dating you" dominants I came across. And it probably could have still worked out except I'm not exactly sure what planet she was on when we were together. We'd have conversations where I'd be thinking, "my God, what is she on?". But she was the nicest person in the world. We kind of drifted apart for reasons I still haven't figured out, although I think it had something to do with her chasing a moonbeam or something like that. No one in our bdsm community or geographical region ever saw her again after she chased an invisible rabbit over a hill one day (metaphorically).

Astrology is a fairly unexplored “science” to me. I’m  an Aquarius an reckon my self as a fairly gentle, empatic and loving person, but also rather domineering and sadistic.

Status: offline 		Double Aquarius, Aries Rising, Saturn opposing Sun, all heavy planets Rx on night side.  A professional astrologer looked at my chart for 1 min and his only comment was "Kinky, huh!" ... Am Dom, no interest in anything else.

And since charts are a problem 1) for those w/ tight religious puckers & 2) the technicality of the calcs & 3) the expertise of interps ... I've found the Briggs-Myer's Personality Type is a much quicker test to find out one's personality type AND how one matches w/ a partner. 

Combine Astrol + BriggsMyers & you've got a pretty good profile of the relationship.

At this point ... I won't even consider another Virgo or Taurus!  Too soon oldt, too late schmart!

Status: offline 		I like knowing peoples astrology...i think it can give some insight into a potential partners perspective. Like for example... it would be a pretty difficult relationship for an air sign to cope with me, I'm very watery (emotional, live in my feelings etc)...I dont think I could cope with a fire sign partner...funny thing is too though, Ive never been attracted to an air sign or fire sign person. Water people I can relate to very well (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) ...and earth signs give me some solidity, earth me, allow me to feel secure,  which I can really appreciate ( virgo, capricorn, taurus).

Saying that, my closest friend is aries (which is a fire sign) and I have had good friendships wth libran people (air)...yet I could see easily that I couldnt live wth those personalities on an intimate relationship level.

Of the 4 relationships I have had in my life, 3 of my partners have been earth and one has been water. Ive been submissive in each of these relationships.

I often read or "lurk" here on the messasge boards but  have never posted until now. Astrology is a fascination of mine and I have several books on the subject. One is a book on sexual astrology and what I read about an Aries man made me come to the conclusion that Aries men are natural Doms/Masters with very heavy BDSM tendencies. Without infringing on anyone's copyright, here is a few tidbits on what the book says about Aries men and their sexual preferences:

"He is aggressive, energetic and restless... He has a dominating personality impatient with rules and conventions... Once he has whisked you into the bedroom, he may not allow you to take off your clothes, he may rip them off instead... Do expect him to carry the action. You may have suggestions but if he accepts your ideas, he'll carry them a bit further. You may suggest he suck on your nipple but be surprised if he carries it further. He won't stop short of sadism... He won't be satisfied to get his kicks from your oral stimulation. You can expect him to start tugging at your hair, pinching your nipples or ramming himself into your mouth to the point of discomfort. If you can derive satisfaction from this, accept it without a whimper, for it will increase his pleasure... A favorite position is to place you on your knees leaning forward.... There was much more on the Aries man but these are the lines that stood out to me. After reading up on all the sun signs, I came to the conclusion that Aries, especially the men, are natural dominants.

I'm Leo sunsign...I think Leo rising, don't know for sure...
I do know one who is a Brahmin and does vedic astrology, have thought of having that chart done...
