Check out Linda Goodman's books in the Astrology section of any major bookstore. She wrote several specific to love, sex and relationships. Well Scorpio is the most sexual sign of the zodiac, with Gemini being very highly sexual also. So make of that what you will. I had my chart done once by one of those online thingies and it said "You will cheat" in like four different places. I guess it's a good thing I'm polyamorous! Not that I really believe in astrology, though....it's just fun to play with.

I'm Me. I chart My own way. My only allowance as to when I was born might be the season. The amount of light, temperatures, length of days and the way of life at that time of year. These real things that affected My life day to day in those early days, might have had an affect. Even the seasons that mother went through as I was growing in her. The stars and planets? Not important. Real life, mothers diet and emotions, my world and interactions. That is reality, that shapes us. Read up on some science and checkout what actual real effects the planets exert on earth. The sun is the only really important one. Maybe it could have some remote effect. What was the sun spot cycle. The temperature. Was there a solar flare? Of course non of this is taken into account in astrology, though the effects are huge!!!!! Compared to where Mars was. A billion other things had enormous effect compared to distant planets and stars. They are nothing by comparison. And if your destiny and self are controlled by them, you are truly weak and ineffectual.

Astrology interests me, as do tarot cards, witch cards, palm readings, and other esoterica. i'm a Leo and the personality descriptions i have read over the years fit me well. i have a girlfriend who has "the gift" and reads my cards; always open to interpretation, but interesting. i have not had my palm read, but would like to do so. i think these are all means -- amoung others -- of getting in touch with one's creative and instinctual side, and i do not sneer at P/pl who "believe" nor at T/those who practice and are not scammers. Greater self-awareness, by whatever means, seems to me to only enhance O/one's chance at finding what Y/you truely want/need/desire atm in the lovely land of BDSM. When i need to make a major life decision, i get my cards read by my girlfriend. i don't base my decision on her readings -- which are guidance, but highly non-specific -- i also get out the old legal pad, draw a line down the center, and list the pros and cons. candystripper

When it comes to palm and tarot readings, pshycics and such. You should read up on a technique called cold reading. It is practiced by many " readers ". Know the signs.

After nearly 2 week since i started this thread and various responses i think we can generlise one simple fact and that is aries gemini virgos and scorpios are generally into D/s ..on more thing tauras are always very horny..and scorpios always think they are the sexiest people.lol.. I wish i could start a poll here but i am not how to do that..it would be much easier to make an analyses with a poll..

Some we choose (such as our partners .. heheh at times this can be true), yet many we have no choice over. As for influence of distant astral bodies <grins> well, according to physics, there is gravitational attraction which varies according to mass and distance apart.
