Hello All.

Are there any keen BDSM equipment builders out there? I've been building things for a while now, restraint systems, sensory deprivation systems, automatic lock timers, bondage chairs and torture devices (painful but safe and none harmful), that sort of thing. I'm keen to find workshop types who are interested in discussing ideas and creations, alternatively is there anybody who has a specific piece of equipment in mind which they have not been able to find on the market? Any suggestions are welcome, I love to build things and I'm always up for a challenge in the workshop.

I'm very inspired by The House of Gord, Serious Bondage and by Grimley's photo sets on flickr and have often tried to incorporate ideas from these sources into my designs. An ultimate goal of mine (one of many) is to build a sophisticated bondage chair which can integrate with a range of sensation giving equipment and can be controlled by somebody else or by a computer for self bondage. I've been thinking about incorporating a range of safety features, for example a release system which ties into a houses smoke detectors to auto release in the event of fire and a system which monitors vital signs and can release the restraints and phone a key holder in the event of an emergency. I'm also trying to get my head round a web based system which will allow people to control equipment remotely for when distance is a problem.

For all the none "techy types" reading this please excuse my inner geek but I figure there must be people out there who understand the need to mess around with tools and technology. If anybody wants to chat about this I would be pleased to hear from you and I'm always happy to have my brains picked on this subject.

hello!

take an look of my sleeping-bench
its ergonomic - in the middle for foot and hands are deeper and high adjustable.
also compleetly high adjustable for perfect 3way access.

Need any electronics or programming assistance?

And is this only functional gear, or do you also make showpieces etc.?

Most of my gear ideas are for atmosphere or theme, and a lot of it "shouldn't" be used.
