ORIGINAL: Anaxagoras My cappuccino maker, it was reviewed a few years back by Which magazine which said it was almost as good as a mid-priced Gaggia but under half the price and just as well built. quote:
ORIGINAL: NeedToUseYou My pizza oven thingy. I got it from an auction of a convenience store that closed. It makes grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, etc......., it is built well, which is why I like it, as it was built for commercial use. Sounds like a cool item for pizza but how can it do nuggets any better than a normal oven - maybe they would be better in a fryer? You don't have to wait to preheat it, that's why I use it for nuggets, the oven can do everything it does, but you have to wait and wait for it to preheat, with this once I have the timing memorized I just throw them in there and turn the timer. Plus when you are cooking relatively small portions the oven seems like such a waste. So, short answer, I'm lazy, and impatient, and the outcome is better than a microwave for most things, if you can fit it in there, with approximately the same speed of a microwave. The oven is to slow, the microwave just doesn't cook right.
