Fine, but that changes the goal posts, doesn't it.

If you want to look at debt numbers, these are the debt numbers.

If you want to speculate about the future, don't pretend you're looking at real debt numbers.

Yeha, they did a hella job on the housing bubble those same ratings agencies.   But that does not change the numbers that were given by MM, in your favor the way you wanted them to look. It just ain't possible.

I AM looking at debt numbers based on the WhiteHouse's own projections based on its existing policies as set forth in its own budgets. It doesnt get any more real than that.

Why is the department of treasury so high?

Musicmystery -> RE: Voters Blame Bush Over Obama 2-1 For Financial Mess (7/19/2011 3:07:49 PM)

And PROJECTIONS take us where?????????

INTO THE FUTURE!!!!!

You talked about Bush and Obama's first seven months. That's the past, and we have actual numbers.

If you NOW want to speculate about the future, or others' speculations about the future, that's a different matter.

If your beef is "Yeah, but he SAID he would!", turns out he spent a lot less than that.

I talked about Obamas policies implemented in his first 7 months increasing the deficit as much as Bush's increased his entire 8 years. That is exactly what they will do if not reversed. Actually they will be even worse, because those are static numbers, not reflecting the drag they have and will put on the economy.

Musicmystery -> RE: Voters Blame Bush Over Obama 2-1 For Financial Mess (7/19/2011 3:25:59 PM)

And that's a projection.

Clearly, it's not the White House intent to repeat the first seven months for all eternity. Even if it is, that's not the official position...why embrace one but reject the other?

Last week I was away at a seminar and spent $3000. That doesn't mean that over the next ten years I'm going to spend $1,560,000.00.

Except these arent extrapolations of one time expenditures. They are POLICY.

Musicmystery -> RE: Voters Blame Bush Over Obama 2-1 For Financial Mess (7/19/2011 3:34:11 PM)

Policy that didn't translate into the numbers you (or the White House) claimed.

Huh? Of course they do....or worse. Do you think the WH is publishing numbers that incorrectly put it in a bad light?

Musicmystery -> RE: Voters Blame Bush Over Obama 2-1 For Financial Mess (7/19/2011 3:39:49 PM)

AND we've come full circle...we've already been over the numbers, as well as actual vs. projection.

Hope you've enjoyed the ride, folks. Drive home safely.
