Pakistan,that erstwhile ally has been involved in a decades long scheme to influence American policy and made illegal campaign contributions.The FBI is charging 2 men...one who resided in Virginia has been arrested...the other resides in Pakistan(I guess we can ask for assistance in apprehending and extraditing this individual....unless we want to send in Team Six again....and tell them afterwards ) both men acted as unreported lobbyists for a foreign power. I know we engage in this sort of shit....and it is hypocritical to expect that foreign governments do not return the favor...but was money we gave them in aid packages used right back here in the good old USA. Full story was reported in the Times.

I assume they have met with limited success other than the last house election.

Lol...well the goal was to tilt American policies in regard to Kashmir....since that is still disputed territory....yeah you could say they have not achieved the goal they were shooting for.But hey absent their influence who is to say we would not have taken a stronger stance on the side of India?

Full story was reported in the Times. What would we expect ? Anybody with an interest in influencing our politics soon sees how the game is played...so they were playing. Just what is and how many so-called lobbyists...are of the 'unreported' (unregistered) type ? The only reason they could be arrested is failure to fill out a form. As for the money, it is my understanding that our $3 billion+/year is the basis for their entire economy...so...? Everyone who wants to make their property into 'free speech' [sic], is constitutionally protected to do so in a 'free' country...don'tyaknow ?
