I don't get upset, you might not believe it, but in a way I am feeling a bit sorry for him, it's just really wearing out now because quite a lot of us build golden bridges for him, I understand that he is a very lonely person, nobody should be that way, but the more I see about him, I also understand why. If he doesn't want to be lonely, he needs to change the way he interacts with people, but that doesn't seem to sink in... When in doubt I usually adopt the dog training technique, repeat the same exercise until it's become 2nd nature, though I have yet to find a dog that's quite as unresponsive to all approaches as the OP - hmm, well maybe the Beagle of friends, he's 9 years old and hasn't learned to give the paw and after 6 months I gave up trying to teach him...
