There was no option for ball python, which is what i wanted as a kid. i wouldn't mind some fish, although i would probably wind up killing them. Actually, at one point i think i did want a goat. pam

If I asked for a unicorn and got an iguana I'd feel thoroughly cheated. All I've ever wanted is a pink pony though. Or a white pony that I could paint pink. I'd make it glitter too, it'd be fabulous.

Gotta be the unicorn. But the entertainment value of the iguana could be fun with the kittehs......put him down on the floor and watch them freak out! Yeah, yeah, sometimes I'm a bad kitteh momma. I also like to scare them when they are doing the "sneak up on it and touch it" thing! Since only a virgin can catch/touch a unicorn, there won't be too many of us getting them......altho, it's been so long that I just might qualify again! snort

Miniature horse. Ponies are always a problem. They're too small to be ridden and properly trained by an adult and therefore tend not to be well behaved as the kids who ride them are too young to be able to train them, nor strong enough to. And they're more willful than horse. But a miniature horse would be awesome. A friend's daughter had one and I fell in love with her immediately. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bcRZukM0L4

Let's see, I think I am all petted out, 2 dobies, 2 cats, a pet rat who are living with me, a few lambs (now grown into sheep) that are living with the farmer (bought the mother sheep as she was my first "sheep friend" and followed me around and I wanted to make sure she could graze the rest of her life in peace without becoming mutton or dog food, she then gave birth while I was sitting on the field and reading a book and introduced her newborn lambs to me - it was a pretty grotty affair, first time I saw that, I'm a city gal - so I bought the lambs too, and again the year later...) and I pay their vet bills and about £25 for each every year for "grazing rights and boarding" (shearing and all that). I'm now forbidden by other half to go near the sheep when it's lambing season unless I agree to his plan to buy an old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere - sod it, it's a rather small town (for me), already feels like the middle of nowhere, I'm not moving even further away from civilization! I would love a horse but considering the vet bills I already have and the time it would take to look after it properly, err, I think I give that a miss and I am fine with just going riding on a horse that is not mine... So nope, no more new pets in the near future (and a silent prayer that I haven't jinxed it and I will meet an adorable stray in need of a home somewhere)

I voted for cat, though I already have two and don't really need a third. Though I talked to a friend last night who also had two cats and just got an adorable kitten.... Also, every moment in my life when I didn't have a cat, I wanted one (or more). Angel wanted me to vote for the iguana because she has a fascination with lizard-type creatures. She'd want to kill it eventually, but would have hours of fun chasing it around the house first. I didn't vote for that option because I already feel bad enough when she leaves the dead lizards from my garden on my porch.

Years ago a friend's uncle decided to buy two calves to raise for meat. They became permanent pets. I keep thinking I should get a couple of meat calves, but I know I'll have them for life.
