So many in here find someone then fail to put that on their profile. So then they complain they keep getting messages from Master, or slaves-kajira seeking them out.

Easy way to avoid that problem then just change your profile, and say you are collared, or found you slave. Same with circumstances easy to do. If you don't want bothered state that too.

Trust me, it doesn't matter what a person puts on their profile, they will get messages from inappropriate people.

However, I agree that complaining about anything online is usually pointless, except for occasional vent factor.

I find it interesting how alike this is to a thread you started less than a month ago.  Is this going to be a ritual for you?

What about those of us who clearly state in our profile that we are not seeking a Dominant???  HMMMMMMM  How come it is almost always the dominant men that complain about this........When are you all gonna learn to read a sub/slave's profile completely and respect what is stated in said profile?  Maybe when ya'll do that, then the sub/slave's that do find their ONE, will do what you desire.....

It ruins the flow of my profile.  I state it in my journal entry.
But that would require more reading on the dominants part.
And we all know that trolls can't read.

First line of my profile cut and pasted;

I am a slave owned by the House Phoenix Risen, also known here as Scooter Trash (Master Mike) and Shifted Jewel(Mistress Becky).

First line of my journal cut and pasted;

I am twicehappy because i am twice owned. I literally have the best of both worlds, one of each, a Master and a Mistress.

You will notice the word owned in the beginning sentences. Number of emails i generally receive from Doms looking; an average of  3 a week.

What would work is if:  A) THEY READ YOUR PROFILE

and: B) IF THEY RESPECTED WHAT OWNED MEANS.

I don't think it's the people who have found someone and are happy who complain about this issue, I think it's people who send out too many messages and hate hearing no.

If you write someone and they write back "Sorry, I'm taken," accept it and go on with life.  Why not bitch about married people, or the Prodommes, or something actually worthwhile?

Yours,

benji

What if you found someone but are not collared? You may be exclusive with your dom, but not collared yet. Certainly you are not suggesting subs "lie" on their profile so you are not inconvenienced when browsing. I am even assuming that the doms that email me are even reading my profile, or honoring my wishes when they do. Some doms will not respect anything short of a collar and some not even that.

BTW. I am not going to state I am collared unless I am collared, and collaring is like being married in BDSM... So I would predict that it might be a while before I state I am collared, even if I am exclusive with someone.

I do have a question, is being owned the same as being collared? What would people here suggest that a sub put on their profile if not collared but dating a dom exclusively, and collar of consideration is considered laughable from what many have said, so I was curious since this seems on topic here.

Good question Julia!  I am not yet collared, but I do feel that I am owned by my Beloved.  I am His personal toy to play with as He chooses.  I am not available to anyone else (unless directed so by my Beloved) and I believe that my profile reflects such.  However, I still get mail from prospective Doms.  I don't know if it matters what we say in our profiles.  I am not sure that anyone reads them.  I clearly stated that I was looking for someone local and I constantly got mail from all over the world!

Anyway...I think that I would like to change my profile to reflect the change in the status of my relationship with my Beloved, but not being collared, I do not know what else to say than I already have!

What if...

The world would become a Utopia of peace love and contentment,... its all MasterHelios' fault that we are stuck wondering if we should edit, keep, or just delete our CM profiles

a dom or domme who does not read and respect what is written in a profile is not a true dom/me. I read profiles before i contact.

And i think that no matter what a submissive or slave writes they will be bothered by those who can or wil not read a profile fully.

Just curious, are you taking a poll or writing a book about it?

Ms.MacComb,

LA was just pointing out that 2 weeks after he started a thread complaining about people not changing their profiles , he started another one!  There are enough reduntant threads out here started by other people without having the same person complain about the same topic over and over again.

The OP hopefully realizes by now that most people do make adjustments to their profiles, but for many, those adjustments go unheeded.or unnoticed.  So then this turns into a thread of people complaining that no one reads their profile!

Vicious circle, ugly pattern...

Why can't we all just get along?

All kidding aside, it is frustrating as hell from both sides, but if people would take the time to write accurate information in their profiles and people took the time to actually read them and then (here's the biggie) they act RESPECTFULLY towards one another then this will continue to be a fun place to play.

By the way I love your avatar.  Something about it makes me feel all warm inside!

Kim

This stupid point is so old and worn out it's ridiculous.  Actually, I could care less how you find my profile truthfully.  It really isn't there for your benefit.  If somebody wants to read about me, great, if not oh well.

But these threads really are getting old and tired in a hurry.
