I don't pray

Me either, nor do I "believe", but I offer my sympathies to those affected.

To target children ... it's beyond malice and despite. I don't have the words to adequately describe my anger and sadness.

I don't normally get too emotionally invested in these sorts of tragedies, principally because I tend not to do so with things I cannot change, but these events have upset me to no small degree. It's just an awful thing, and I only hope there is some peace at some point for those grieving today.

I offer my prayers to those in Norway who have lost their lives, their loved ones,
or been injured in the attacks in Oslo and Utoeya.

I also pray that this event is not used as leverage by tyrants to further erode our freedom.
Ditto! M

Why? Because people who don't buy into a religion or the concept of a deity are inherently bad, horrible people who can't feel sympathy or *gasp* do something about it?

I might not pray, but I made use of the link Tantriqu provided - I hope I won't get struck by lightning for being an infidel who's donating.

It is horrendous.

I became aware of what happened about thirteen hours ago, and yes: the victims and their relatives, friends and their populations have been in my thoughts. May the God of the Dead reward them according to their merits.

and the last embrace of the Earth welcome you home,
and grant you peace.

Prayers, absolutely as well as positive thoughts and hopes for those effected.  If nothing else, know that the world is crying with you.
