So, since INHERITED WEALTH is by defintion unearned income, you philosophically shouldn't have a problem with a 100% estate tax. You die and THEN you pay your taxes, which are all your assets. After all, your kids should be smart enough to take care of themselves, and if not, you know FUCK THEM...... Might simplify a lot of paperwork all around....

Wow..and so you are stupid in addition to lazy?  Inherited wealth IS earned wealth, fool!  It was earned by the Testator who had to pay taxes on it, Comrade Fargle.  Needy little Fargle.

There is 47% of this country that pays no income tax. Add the illegal population and you have millions more.

80% of that 47% make $16,000 or less. Not a treasure trove of revenue there. And any flat tax is going to exempt the poor, just as current tax does.

Nor are illegals going to kick in a fresh fortune. If they're working under the table, they aren't going to pay flat tax either.

http://economix.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/06/28/who-doesnt-pay-federal-income-taxes-legally/

THAT is why there would also be a Federal Sales Tax, MM.  Ass, gas or grass, buddy.  NOBODY rides for free.  Now...remember what I said that there might have to be a somewhat graduated flat tax with a bracket that could go as high as 15% .  Let's not make each other re-post everything we have ever said before, shall we?

And as you already know, I support a VAT.

So, yes, enough of that exchange.

If you and someone like Mr. Rodgers are going to draw battle lines, than I am going to side with the people who worked the hardest for what they have gotten and what the libs on this board feel should be taken away.  Sure...if you people are going to make it a class warfare scenario, I am going to choose a side.  I choose the side of those who earned what they have rather than those who whine that they deserve something they are not entitled to.

P.S.  Let me tell you liberal failures something.  Technically, I work three jobs.  I have been working jobs since 1999.  Try it sometime and see how much fucking money you end up making.  Perhaps then you will be too wealthy and too busy to scratch at other people's doors.

You need to put this to rest already.

I'm as liberal as they come and I was able to retire at 41.

I don't have to work another day in my life unless I choose to.

And you are still ass-kissing someone else for a paycheck.

Wow, Rule, to a guy like me you sound sooo fucking dumb.

I'm not focused on greed, Rule.  I make what I make.  I don't have to fuck anyone over for it.  I don't have to have my hand out for charity whether it is charity from the guy on the street or from the Fed or State.  I don't make anywhere NEAR what many people in my area make...not 2% of some of them.  Yet, what makes me different than you is that I don't want what they have.  AT LEAST I DON'T WANT IT AT THEIR EXPENSE!  You do.

Nope...not focused on greed at all.  I am focused on LOSERS who work nowhere near as hard as I do from holding me back and taking what I have to augment their miserable, worthless lives.

Three jobs....try it sometime.

No...not Stockholm syndrome at all.  The top bracket after the major revision done by Reagan was 28% and that is where it is now.  Commie-Failure-Socialist LOSERS say that 35% isn't enough and it should go up to Clinton's insane 39.5%.  Why?  Well...because you people need cradle to grave services because you can't take care of yourselves.  THAT'S WHY!  You need this little subsidy and this little handout and this little entitlement because YOU ARE FAILURES!  Weak, lazy (lazy more than anything else), stupid, addicted, un-trainable and every other fucking flaw under the sun.

The beauty of this country's current situation is that there isn't going to be enough money to support you swine anyway.  But at least when you are reduced to begging on the curb for charity, you will actually thank the people that give to you rather than hold them in such contempt.

Don't be an insulting douchebag shitting all over the thread. We get it. You hate people. Calling me a failure, weak, lazy, stupid, addicted, un-trainable, etc is beyond reasonable and a clear violation of the Terms of Service. Either stop throwing your tantrums and act like an adult or go fuck yourself, and leave us all alone to continue our conversation.

But I guess, hey, thanks for pointing out how irrational the anarchists who are trying to destroy America really are at least. It is a good case-study...

Don't need to, as I've already told you.

But you keep working those three jobs while this "liberal failure" sits on the beach with a cold beer watching all the young things run around in bikinis.

I'm not putting anything to rest, Rule.  Liberals ARE failures.  Unpatriotic, needful, pieces of trash.  They can't make it on their own and so they argue for a disproportionate share to be given away in subsidies.  Liberals tax, tax, tax and wonder why the jobs go away...go abroad.  They wonder why the wealthy people; the inventors, the employers, the entrepreneurs, etc. move away and take opportunity with them when they go.  "If you tax them, they will leave."  Who said that?  Michael Bloomberg, certainly no pillar of conservatism.

Nope...liberals are failures.  You people argue and scream for other people's money and it is never enough.  The War on Poverty was a failure...money being pissed down a rat hole.  And yet you libs clamor for more.  Education spending has built beautiful schools but we have some of worst test scores in the industrialized world these days.  Both parents work like dogs and neither are home but no one sees that as a reason for the failure of our education system.  No...what our education system needs is more money...more taxation.

Grubby, needy, greedy liberal bastards.  Those are the ones that are destroying this country.

Did you miss the part about how they wouldn't pay taxes until they died? At that point, their kids can earn their own money, right? Or not. Why should YOU care about them and their failure?

Which one am I, lazy-liberal-fuck?  I'm an inventor with a patent but it didn't go anywhere.  Of course, I was also 15 when I got my patent.  I am the employer.  I am the entrepreneur.  I am at the low end of wealthy.  Any other questions, lazy-lib boy?

So, you're a failure as an inventor. Thank you.

How many people are on your payroll?

What companies have you brought along that we might have heard about?

P.S.: The government is no longer collecting taxes on airline tickets, costing them around 200 million a week. The airlines reacted to this by raising their ticket prices 7.5% to compensate for the new savings.

No libby...I didn't miss that point.  Why don't you tell me why the U.S. government should charge a tax on the money that it took to amass the estate and then take (what you advocate as a 100% estate tax) double taxation on the bequest.  In what fucked up world do you live in where someone's death should be a profitable event for the government?  You are a strange fuck but you are no American.  Why don't YOU go to a communist country where, really, you own nothing.  Is it because you own nothing now?  It is a VERY American ideal that we give our children greater opportunities than what we had.  YOU don't want that.  I guess because you have had no opportunities.  Whatever, but arguing against the ability of an American to leave his children his estate reveals an ugliness in you that I really can't find words for.

It's hardly "hidden" when everyone knows it's there. And it's just as easy a percentage as a sales tax would be.

Two significant advantages, however--first, the burden is far less than having every retailer nationwide add federal sales tax reporting and collecting to their already considerable legal responsibilities. Second, it prevents a common problem with state and local sales taxes--enforcing collection. When this tax is collected at the production end, renegade retailers are still indirectly paying the tax.
