Well Wu has decided he is not going to run again - http://content.usatoday.com/communities/onpolitics/post/2011/07/david-wu-sex-scandal-resign-congress-/1?csp=34news

and some of his other behavior has an explanation.-

"Wu, who became the first Chinese-American member of Congress when he was elected in 1998, disclosed this year that he is on medication and getting treatment for mental health issues. He had apologized for his erratic behavior, including e-mailing a photo of himself wearing a tiger costume."

My own opinion is to let it and him go, the man has problems and is getting help.

TheHeretic -> RE: US Rep accused of sexual assault (7/25/2011 8:15:37 PM)

Right.  He's on medication, with mental health issues, and a teenager he admits having had sex with says it was an unwanted sexual assault...

By all means, he should certainly just be allowed to drift away 17 months from now...

FirstQuaker -> RE: US Rep accused of sexual assault (7/25/2011 8:37:48 PM)

Well what is your proposed solution?

It is certainly going to take more then a year and a bit of effort to kick him out.

Hie credibility, even among the local Democrats was minimal, even before this latest revelation.

TheHeretic -> RE: US Rep accused of sexual assault (7/25/2011 9:42:58 PM)

Well, I didn't come into the subject with a schematic.  With all the Republican bashing going on, a bit of light on the sicko fucks on the D side of the aisle is always a necessary counterpoint.  It seems like a resignation would be the best solution.  He said he won't, but maybe they can ask Weiner to call him.

Luckily young women disgust me.

That just leaves more for me.

So all you sweet young things feel free to hit me up.

And I promise I'm not David Wu crazy.

Or even Domiguy crazy. [:D]

TheHeretic -> RE: US Rep accused of sexual assault (7/26/2011 5:58:41 PM)

I don't know if it was Weiner or not, but somebody must have called Wu.  He will be resigning his seat in the House, and a special election will determine what other liberal Democrat gets it.

I hear it was a combination of the Democrats and the regional Chinese business community thinking he was making them loose way to much face with his antics, and if he did not get his clown act off the public stage that 'young' lady was going to be the widely billed guest star during the upcoming final scene in this morality play.

And how does Barney "whorehouse" Frank fit into that theory?  He'd even fix the parking tickets for the johns.  How's that for full service?

Since that incident some years ago, Frank has been re-elected in 4 elections, twice unopposed.

If the GOP or the Libertarians don't have the guts to even run anyone against him, they have no right to complain about him still being in office.

The voters in his district obviously want him to be their Congressman or they wouldn't keep re-electing him. His sexuality and mistakes he has made long ago doesn't seem to bother the voters in his district as much as it seems to bother you.

So what? Berry was reelected too. It doesnt make him any less a criminal.

Politics works by voting and the voters here in Massachusetts like Barney Frank. I'm from Massachusetts and have lived here all my life and Barney Frank has done a lot of good, especially on the social front. I'm not saying he hasn't done criminal acts or that he doesn't have a history or flaws just like anyone else for which he should be held responsible, but he's an important advocate for a lot of social issues. What have you all done besides try and find someone to make your 'slave' on the internet? It kindove makes me sick to my stomach actually. If your on the internet looking for a fringe-of-society sexual partner/relationship/s and you think LBGTQ people or people who need social security or disability are 'immoral' or lazy, your at best ignorant and at worst a sociopath.

Barney Franks's also helped contribute to the RE mess.

Wu has allegedly raped a teen girl.  That's serious.  Are you suggesting that our elected officials should be given immunity if they're agreeing with you politically?  If not, what point are you trying to make?

You might note that you are on the same "fringe of society sexual site". And I havent seen anyone say that people on SS or legitimately on disability are immoral or lazy. Strawmen dont get very far on this board.

Steven covered the first part of your post, so I am going to ignore that and just ask a few questions about this part.

I looked at his profile and it says he is looking for a female submissive. Doesn't mention anything about a slave or online. So who are you talking about here?

It kindove makes me sick to my stomach actually.
that someone is looking on cm? You do know that a lot of people here are looking for a partner right? And that makes you sick? Seems kinda strange considering the list of folks you are seeking.

A lot of posters, myself included, are not looking for anyone. Just here to read the forums. I also didn't see anyone mention being gay or disabled. Could you tell me which post that was in? Oh and that would make them bigots, not sociopaths. You do know what  a sociopath is, don't you?

housesub4you -> RE: US Rep accused of sexual assault (8/3/2011 8:49:52 AM)

For all the Holier than Thou crap dumped on us by our two party system, it never surprises me when they forget their own rules when it comes to their own party.  Case in point  Ohio has a ZERO Tolerance Pledge

But the party’s real trouble so far has been the struggles of some of its members to abide by the law. Three Ohio Republicans have had run-ins with the law this year. State Rep. Robert Mecklenborg (R) was arrested for drunk driving with a stripper in his car. State Rep. Jarrod Martin (R) has had three drunken incidents with law enforcement, including one in which he was driving with his kids in the car. State Sen. Kris Jordan, meanwhile, is being investigated for a domestic dispute with his wife while he was allegedly drunk and in possession of a firearm

Mecklenborg resigned July 17 and is leaving office today, but both Martin and Jordan are still serving in their current positions.  But it was not really picked up by the press

I'm glad he's leaving. He needed to. Maybe whoever the district elects next won't be such an idiot.

He now says he will.

The "teenager" in question was 18. Not splitting hairs, he should have kept it in his pants for sure. His judgement is way off. But, we are assuming her version of events is the correct one.
