i am looking for information on rope bondage techniques my wife is very interested in being bound. i am very new to this and looking for some suggestions on books or places for instructions.

Everything that I ever learned about rope, I got from members of the kink community. Lots of groups have good demos on tying. The best are the ones that include a 'hands on' portion. Bring your rope and a bottom. A great deal of fun!

Yes, I would agree with @LadyPact. Since you already have an enthusiastic partner, going to a rope share or a beginners rope bondage class is definitely the way to go. The one's I've been to were super friendly and very informative.

And don't forget the Twisted Monk (www.twistedmonk.com). They sell an excellent quality natural hemp rope and have instructional videos for a few basic knots and techniques, which when (easily) mastered, can be used in combination for some pretty elaborate bondage! Good luck and enjoy!
