Piercings heal (in a healthy person w/ good hygiene) in direct proportion to the thickness of the part pierced AND in direct proportion to the healing speed of that particular body part. That is ... face & hands heal faster than your butt or belly. The clit hood & labiae minorae & clitoral or penile frenulum probably heal the fastest ... about 1 week ... maybe 10 days at outside. By then you oughtta be able to hitch up & help pull the pickup outta the mud. Any longer and you have a problem. Remember, if thinking of labial piercings, to carefully consider placement ... i.e. if you like missionary most ... then putting them in back will get them out of the way. If you like doggy ... then putting them high will get them out of the way. For truck towing, I recommend, placing them low :-) Lips & tongue probably heal 2nd fastest because those tissues repair themselves very rapidly. Nipples of average thickness will heal normally in 4-6 weeks BUT they often have complications ... such as poor hygiene, recurrent infections, incompetant care which causes the healing epithelial tube to be pulled out or lose it's blood supply. The 4-6 weeks applies to basic, initial formation of an epithelial tube thru the whole piercing. It can take another 6 or more months for that to toughen up, fix it self, establish redundant blood supply ... and become resistant to damage. I dislike nipple piercings cuz it takes my play toys away for so many months. And if she just gets 1 pierced at a time, then she's 1/2 out of commission twice as long. Labiae majorae heal according to thickness ... often taking 4-6 weeks as well. I never did see the purpose in piercing them. Correct ... piercings in the perineum (Guiche & Forchette) & umbilicus (or any flat surface) heal slowly and get damaged easily. Any other questions? I'm sure, if you searched, you could find a piercing FAQ w/ average healing times for all piercings. I'm just approximating from my experience. ADomDoc San Antonio
